imported_Kat
I had to get her a different food last week because the idiots at the pet store sold the one she normally gets even though its ordered in specifically for me only. Then I got her original and started mixing it a bit and she has really bad diarrhoea now :( The mess I woke up to this morning was unbelievable but I would rather have her well. On the vets advice I have to starve her for 24 hours until tomorrow morning and shes going buck mad for food. I don't want her to be sick :(
JackieMaya
Awww, poor little Kes! Hopefully giving her a day off food will do the trick. I always feel just horrible when my babies are sick so I know what you mean there.. I hope Kes is back to herself real soon!

Lucky Chaos
Poor Kes! Can you give her canned pumpkin? Its supposed to be great for clearing up wet poops.
Carolk9s
sorry to hear of Kes' tummy troubles! I know how bad you feel making her go without any food. Even though it IS the best way to settle her gut, it is so hard to look at those pleading eyes and say nope, no food you. Please keep us posted and keep yours and Kes' spriits up, this too shall pass!

imported_Kat
Maybe its just me but she looks like shes getting skinnier! I'm contemplating giving her a little bit of chicken and rice tonight. The vet said starve until tomorrow morning but she last ate at 6pm last night so that will be nearly 24 hours. The diarrhoea is less liquidy now as well but shes so hungry. She also just lost 2 canines so that could contribute to her being sicky i think. :-? BuddysMom
Those who try canned pumpkin, remember to get it with no sugar or anything else added. It has worked wonders for me too and all my dogs have liked it.
imported_Kat
I got her a food in the same range that differed slightly in the protein level because the food I had ordered in was sold accidently. This food is specialist to only 1 pet shop that I can get to and they have to order it in specially for me, because its too expensive for them to buy in for regular customers. I can only get the original food in a 2kg bag which lasts approx 10 days and therefore I didn't have extra to mix, which is why I mixed her original food with the new stuff that she was on for 4 days. I managed to negotiate and I now have a 15kg bag of the canine extra which is what she is used to. I couldn't afford to hold a months stock of this food. It is the most expensive food you can get over here. A 15kg bag cost me
imported_Kat
p.s. Thanks everyone. I looked for the canned pumpkin for Zoe before and I can't get it here in any supermarket unfortunately.
drjeffrock
Feel better Kes. Some white rice always does the trick for my dogs. I have used pumpkin in the past, but I prefer just giving 'em some white rice.
Malamum
[quote name='Kat']p.s. Thanks everyone. Just go to the fruit and vegie shop, buy a bit of pumpkin and steam it then mash it.
