Daisy is really Daisy Parker. We live in Ridley Park and the snobby :icon_rock: people here call themselves "Parkers", so that is Daisy's full pedigree name.... Chelsea got her name from Rosie O'Donnell's adopted daughter. My daughter, Stephanie suggested that and it fit her :D

My puppy, Chelsea is also afraid of many household items!! You have to desensitize your dog by almost making a game out of the loud noises or frightening objects. It takes a lot of time and work. I have noticed with Chelsea that she is finally starting to out-grow some of this. Also, she sees that I am not afraid, so my reaction sometimes calms hers. Don't make a big deal over the noises and calm the dog right away.

Great news!! Congratulations!! Are you calling him Ike now??? If so, I wouldn't confuse him by changing it. :hmmmm:

Oh, I am so happy for you Aramsey!!!!! I'm sure McKay is smiling down from Heaven on you and her new baby sister  In my experience, most dogs pace themselves after that type of operation. Just watch the licking and jumping.

You'll never guess what the doctor said!

We only talked about how people either love it or hate it. To answer your question, no she really didn't give me the cons. I think she knew that I was familiar with the diet. -

She chewed them right up!! I really need to chop them for her, and didn't this first time. But, I will until she gets used to them. I was really surprised at this! She told me to feed it to the puppy too :-? -
Well, I am back from seeing the homeopathic vet and guess what she told me to feed Daisy? BARF!!, Slippery Elm and Unleash along with her dry food! Alicat, I should have listened to you instead of paying $235.00!!!!!! We spent a long time with the dr. and it seems what I was doing was good!! She doesn't like the EN either, but wants me to supplement the above with it. She told me to feed her raw chicken backs. Where do I get them???? I gave her wings and a thigh instead, couldn't find backs. We shall see what happenes....... she also gave her some sort of homopathic treatment: Sulphur ????? Any ideas on that one??? I can't tell you know who how much this was :o

Insurance - More Breed Discrimination!
Daisysmom replied to Daisysmom's topic in Everything about dogs
It boils down to lawyers rule the world.....
I'm sorry, I have to disagree! SOMEONE HAS TO HIRE THE LAWYERS!! -
From my ASPCA news alert: HELP US STOP INSURANCE COMPANIES FROM DISCRIMINATING AGAINST DOGS! Many homeowners are faced with the hardship of choosing between keeping a beloved family companion and obtaining homeowners' insurance--simply because their dog is on a list of breeds that the insurance company has exempted from its policies. To put an end to breed discrimination, the ASPCA Government Affairs and Public Policy Department needs your help. If your insurance company has refused to write or has canceled your homeowner's or renter's policy based on the breed of dog you own, please complete our online survey at the http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=lobby_insurance ASPCA Advocacy Center. The information will assist us in compiling the data we need to prohibit this practice, and will not be forwarded to any other sources. For those of you who have responded to our previous request, thank you so much--and we'd greatly appreciate your participation in this survey, too. The rottweilers, pit bulls, chows and all the other "unacceptable" breeds and breed mixes need--and thank you for--your help!

That's good news Aroura! Happy to hear it! Chelsea will be fixed soon too. Maybe it will slow her down a little too. She is getting very aggressive towards Daisy.

She was a beautiful horse. Sorry for your loss :(
-
Wow HoulaMomma you are a hero!!!!! Good job saving that momma doggie!!! and.... Welcome!! I see this is your first post!!
-
She is very pretty!!! So her front leg is twisting???? Turning in? I would think that it is just trying to compensate for the loss of the other leg, to give her balance. Almost like the leg is in the middle of her body. Does that make any sense?
-
DogPaddle, don't mind at all
-
Thanks Prairie_Gurl!! That's what I am thinking too..... Maybe she will figure out what is wrong with my poor girl
-
Yes Courtnek, great advice!!! I must say, if the poor dog is on his own property, maybe the kittys' owners need to be warned to keep them off the property. Just natural with some dogs. Maybe you should warn your neighbors :D and then, there will be peace once more

Chelsea does the same thing :o She is about 6 months!!! I think it will go away on it's own, but in the interim, it is a big pain in the ... Jack :o (get it? you would have had to read the other post) Any way, hope they outgrow it soon!! And, I hope you do get suggestions, because I will steal them

So very happy to help Courtnek
