1. he is GOREGEOUS! Congrats on your :lilangel: !
2. As far as I know, here its about 50 BD to adopt a puppy from the shelter, including the speuter, which is about 100 US dollars, so basically same thing..
3. Yay! Fingers and paws crossed here too! :D
4. NO WAY! And thank god, most people voted No :)
5. Talk about weight gain! I noticed Clea was looking a little pudgy the other day, so I halved her meal portions.. I'm not sure when to switch to just one meal a day though :-?
6. I understand-COMPLETELY! I just had a similar encounter the other day  Our neighbours across the way just got a new puppy. This jumpy little thing, no older than 3 months. So the other day, I wanted to take Clea out for a walk, and to my surprise, the puppy comes running up to Clea, off-leash and starts playing with her. Of course Clea was too distracted and couldn't walk properly, so I made her sit-stay while I returned the puppy to its yard, because the owners WEREN'T EVEN HOME! Can you imagine? What if a car had run it over? So finally we walk peacefully, when out of no where, the puppy appears! I have no idea how it got out! After a while, I just gave up, and brought Clea back home, and then went looking for the puppy to return it again. People are so irresponsible these days it kills me
7. So sorry to hear about Penny! :( Its good that she's making progress though! :) No word back from the vet yet?
8. Just make the house as comfortable an environment as possible. Maybe add some new toys or something  in my experience, our cats will stay put, once they know they can get their food regularly
9. Aww! What a great story! And that pic of him in your Av is ADORABLE! :o
10.
But but but but....Devils advocate here...what do you realy truly think of the people like me...who are extremely strict with thier kids and dogs alike in public...I have no fear of using appropriate tones but tend to get looked at like I am a puppy killer or a child abuser...but at least my kids and dogs are silent and sat still...which is worse?...me or them?
Good point K, I guess it all depends on personal opinion, IMO, I'd prefer people like you. People who can control their kids in a public place, come off as good parents to me, not child abusers  Same with dogs, I absoloutely despise people who can't control their dogs in public, especially when they start to jump on me/clea
11. Thankyou all so much! Dogo truly is a blessing :D I've been reading up on OVH for a long time now, even since before I got Clea, and So I'll make sure with my vet. And I think I'll have him perform a full blood test, I'm extremely paranoid about that kind of thing  again thanks so much! I feel so much better now
12.

hate to change the subject, did you start your liquid diet yet?
The liquid diet is going great! I lost 10 pounds my first week, and 1-1/2 pounds so far this week (and I have 2 more days to go). And I haven't even been perfect on the diet yet! I need to :drinking: more water and had to give up the bars (because I ate all the bars for the week in one day) and switch to soynuts.
:o give me this magical diet you speak of! I'm really packing on the pounds.. was actually going to start an all vegetable diet tommorow, not really much of a sacrifice, since I'm a vegetarian!
13. I second (or is it third?) the leash idea, definitely works! although the way i trained Clea to come, is when i bend down a bit, slap my hands on my knees sort of, and say come, she does. So know if i just say come, she knows she has to, even without the sound.
14. I see big things for that kid
15. LOL @ ESSlover! Clea is always out in the garden, except for when it rains heavily we bring her inside, so she's free to frolic as she pleases, but i take her out for long walks after school, usually about an hour in total every day, and on weekends probaby around an hour and a half, most of which is spent playing!
16. I'm so sorry to hear about Jesse Carol! Thinking of you, paws fingers toes crossed for good news!
17. Definitely good news that Lucky came home well :D
18. So many words, so many vivid, colorful words could be used to describe that arrogant, racist, pathetic excuse of a human that is unfortunately your neighbour. But I would have done the exact same thing, the thing with these people is, you try to be civil with them, but it doesn't work! She was literally asking for it, I mean really if you're going to complain, make it LEGITIMATE! She had absoloutely no right saying what she did to your son, or to you. And since she's so concerened for the welfare of her family, let her pay for the fence to be put up
19. Aww thats so great! And I agree with your point about hounds, so extra scratchies from me too
20.
Or maybe it's because the grill has four 'legs?' Could he think that the grill is some kind of dangerous metal beasty? :-?
Makes sense to me, especially since he barks when it moves, and the fact that it has food on it too!
21. Oh God! Typical, the same thing happened to me(not with petland though) When I was a kid, I got my friend hamsters for her birthday, and one was pregnant, even though they ASSURED us she wasn't
22. Okay, since I've convinced my mom that spaying is a GOOD thing, not a bad one that breaks the natural cycle or whatever  Were going to have her spayed, but I just need some info on the surgery. 1)what is the ideal age? Clea's 4 months and a Half now, and I want to get it done as soon as possible so..? 2)side effects? I know this is a stupid question, but do dogs EVER die from neutering/spaying? 3) any addtional info u might care to add  thanks!
23. 3 dogs! I honestly can't imagine myself with any more than Clea, But maybe when she's older, I was thinking I'd get a small breed dog, probably a rescue, to even things out!
24. yay! Great to hear that Pooh is back on track
