She's just adorable!

Ewwww! Jackie and Maya roll around in the snow and shove their faces in it and eat it, but they've never eaten poop, which is good because Jackie is a real kisser! I think you'd better shake hands with your dogs for a while! LOL

Whenever I get on the computer, Jackie gets so jealous! I'll think that she's sleeping, and as soon as I move in my chair, her tail starts wagging. She gives me the most pathetic looks when I'm on the computer! Maya, on the other hand, could care less. Right now, Maya is stretched out on the futon sleeping, and having a fun dream. Her feet are all moving. Jackie is on the sofa, and every time I look over at her, she gives me "the look." I pulled the futon (that's right by the computer) out to be a bed, and they both like that better so that they can be close to me when I'm on the computer. My sister's dog, Eli, is improving slightly. He has movement in one of his back legs. She's going to ask the vet today if that's enough improvement that he wants her to reduce his steroid dosage. The vet is convinced that it's a ruptured disc. She doesn't think there's any way it's a tick related problem, as her setters are covered in ticks most of the year, but she's never found a single tick on Eli...and she's really looked.

You can give her some Pepto Bismol to ease her tummy. Are you sure there wasn't anything in the garage that she could have gotten into? Since she keeps vomiting, I would take her to the vet if I were you. Better safe than sorry! Hope she feels better soon!

That's how it happened with Jackie and Maya for me! I saw Jackie's picture on Petfinder.com and immediately fell in love and just HAD to have her! And as soon as I met her, it was true love! And then 6 months later, I was wanting to get Jackie a brother or sister and saw Maya's picture on Petfinder.com (at the same shelter I got Jackie from), and immediately fell in love and just HAD to have her! When Jackie and I met her in person, it was true love! Good luck in getting your puppy (if you think you can handle having another dog)!

I think it should be a law that prospective dog adopters should be required to do research into what would be the best breed for their lifestyle. That would save a lot of dogs! It's good that your friends at least asked your wife for her opinion!

That's just insane! I would have been just furious! I'm glad that you contacted the managers (and found out that your's wasn't the first complaint!). Jackie's ears aren't that long, but she has real long hair over them. I keep it long because I think it gives her character. Jackie and Maya wrestle a lot, so Jackie does gets little mats occasionally behind her ears, but I take care of it. I would be fit to kill if someone cut the long hair on her ears! My sister has a 4 year-old Great Pyrenese (wonderful, sweet dog) who has arthritis (which she has him on meds for). He lives out with and guards her flock of sheep in Texas. The other day she went out to feed the animals and his back legs were paralyzed! She was afraid she would have to have him put down, but her vet said it might be a ruptured disc. So the vet had her put him on steroids for now and see if that helps. He thought that it might take care of the problem without having to resort to surgery. Has anyone ever had a dog with a ruptured disc? What did you do? Did the dog recover without surgery?
