1. I wholeheartedly agree with the advice given. If I let them, both my fellas would hold out for "better stuff". Better doesn't mean better for them, but something they would prefer. Just like a little kid who doesn't want to eat their veggies but wants a cookie.
2. I'm so sorry for your loss of Mocha. :( I think many of us can relate to the hole that your beloved companion has left in your life. ((((ESS))))
3. :D Happy trails to you! :D Have a fabulous vacation! Your puppers will be so happy to welcome you home. It's great that you have someone you feel comfortable with coming to your home to care for them! Y'all have a great time!
4. Our dogs would stay with us. We couldn't bear to leave them behind. I would wonder about them constantly if they were not with us! We would all be in it together.
5. How neat that you got something in return for your update to the rescue! I'll bet the rescue really appreciated hearing from you! :D
6. Oh Marion, I am so sorry to hear of Cleo's passing. I know that the eight months with Cleo brought you joy. As I thought about what her passing means to you, I was reminded of a quote I saw recently: The comfort of having a friend may be taken away--but not that of having had one. ~Seneca Take heart by remembering all the lovely times that you and she shared. Rest easy, little Cleo.
7. The man is definately disturbed and if there is any justice in this world he will spend some time in court and jail for his cowardly action. I am so sorry for D-Bo's family.
8. Thanks for stepping in and taking care of the poor thing! Good luck on your home visit! :D You guys deserve a head start on the others since you are the ones who cared enough to rescue her from the streets! Fingers crossed and paws pressed here!
9. Been there done that as well! Sorry about your woman-made flood. They are the pits!
10. She is a cutie! I love her winning smile. :iloveyou: Congratulations to both you and little Kat!
11. Depending on the size of the hole it sounds sort of like a bot fly larva has made a home in her. :o If so, the vet will sort it out. Good luck.
12. I think you've got yourself a little busybutt! That is so cute.
13. :o I would have a problem with keeping my puppy outside all night at someone's house. If she is used to sleeping inside with you then I think she should be able to do that. If possible I would not stay at the SIL's house overnight, but find somewhere else to stay the night. Good Luck!
14. I can just see you bustling over and rapping on their door! I'm glad no fisticuffs ensued!
15. :o I hope the lady with the chocolate lab never returns for further training with him! He sounds a angry and controlling to me. Also, irresponsible to model such inappropriate methods. He needs to be reported. It would be good if those who were complaining to you did the reporting so you aren't caught in the middle. Have you suggested that to the owners who have been complaining to you? If he had slapped my dog he would have got a very full earful and would never see my dog again!
16.   I'll never look at my siggy the same way again, JM! And now I've gone and made them round too! :o Hehehe! Thanks for sharing! :D
17. Your story had me in stitches! I can relate. Rotties are very suspicious of their backsides! :o If it doesn't come out smoothly, there is no end of trouble! Hope the rest of your week is better!
18. WAAAA! Chewie's owner called and left a message this morning. She has to reschedule his visit....and it won't be for another couple of weeks. My husband says he thinks something is fishy, but I don't agree because of what her message said. Her sister is dying of cancer at her mother's home. Her mother is supposed to have help from hospice, but it is not enough so she needs to stay with her mother to provide the care that is needed. She was there all last night and the night before and sounds absolutely exhausted on the phone message. If I were in this situation I would make the same choice. My husband says we could have taken care of the problem with Chewie for her and then she wouldn't have to deal with it and could concentrate on her sister. But I asked him to "think like a woman" and consider that Chewie's owner probably can't bear to give him up at the same time her sister is dying. :o I feel sad for her and her family but at the same time I feel sad for postponing the meeting with Chewie. I only hope now that we DO get to meet him... Thanks for all your interest. I will keep you posted on any further developments.
19. He sounds delightful! :D I hope it all works out for Ricky and your friend!
20. Thanks for starting my morning with a laugh! Zeb was determined to get what "was rightfully his", wasn't he!
