1. Whatever's at home. I try not to contribute to the world's plastic bag problem if I can help it at all.
2. "Chewing on rocks is bad for my teeth." And other assorted dumb weird things BK does.
3. Can't even remember why you left in the first place. WB
4. I would like to see an *unbiased* report of Iams' cruelties, or lack thereof. I don't believe anything they put out, nor do I believe anything PETA puts out.
5.
Have you seen the movie "Bruce Almighty" ? Everytime I watch it I think how much Sam looks like BK... :D
Hahahaha YES!!!! One of these days i will catch BK sitting on the toilet reading the paper too!!! BTW BK says thank you for all the well-wishes
6. BK! He is 9 today (or rather, today is the day we picked for his birthday). :bday:
7. I remember back in the day when I wanted to be just like James Herriot, I was reading one of his books and his beagle, Dinah, had a papilloma on her lip. Although he knew they were harmless and he usually whipped them off his *patients* without a second thought, because it was his *own* dog (and we know how precious we are about our own pets!!), he panicked and took her to the vet in the nearby town who had a fantastic reputation with small animals.
8. Worked for me when I opened the image in a new window. She is SOOOO cute. I know she is meant to be a grey tabby but she looks so much like my Ferdy (who is a brown tabby with very similar markings). They both look naughty.
9.
my male that is a different story. He is agressive toward large males who show agression towards him first and once they show that agression he never forgets who the dog is. I took them to the dog park yesterday and i have had them both there since they were about 5 weeks and this one dog who he always gets into with showed up, I always leave when the lady gets there but im tired of leaving when it was her dog that provoked mine in the first place, and when he sees this dog its on. Of course once I grab him its over but should i have to leave the park all the time. Then she starts complaining about pitbulls not being alowed in the park because of agression, HOw stupid then another man jumps in and says you know they are pitbulls and what they are bred for why do you even bring them out. Im like, are you serious what about my female who rolled around in the grass fighting herself while my my was attacking, if she is a pitbull shouldnt she have gotten up and attacked to. Any comments, Oh yeah if you are not educated on the pitbull then please dont comment go do some research. I have for over ten years!
OK. First of all why is your dog, who you KNOW to be dog aggressive, allowed to go to the dog park? If he is so easily provoked into aggression by another dog (well duh! it's a dog park, funny that there should be other dogs there too), then why do you persist in taking him there? Exactly what do you think would happen to your male if he got into a fight with another dog, given the breed's (undeserved) bad reputation? Your dog would be PTS without a second thought. Like it or not, as a pit owner AND the owner of a proven dog-aggressive dog, the onus is on YOU to be responsible. You can bet your bottom dollar if I had a dog-aggressive dog, no matter what size or breed, I would not take any chances with him or her, either for the dog's safety or the safety of other dogs, and indeed any humans who may get in the way of a fight, or try to break up one. It is pit owners like you, regardless of how many years' experience you may have, who give this fine breed a bad name. Pit owners who hide behind the excuses of victimisation are doing nobody any favours.

O

WTF is going on? Oh have a drink. :drinking: Iron Man, please refer to rules of the board... if you are here solely to cause trouble I have a BIG banning button
11. Oh congrats!!! *stamps foot* hurry up with those pics will ya?
12. I'm so sorry  I can't even begin to imagine how you feel right now. *hugs*
13. Oh very cute!!! She would make a good girlfriend for Blitz. :)
14. It's so awful. There needs to be a greater awareness of this type of abuse. Just because it's not what could be traditionally labelled abuse doesn't make it any less horrible. OK maybe it's not as bad (or media-friendly) as chaining a dog up with no shelter for its lifetime but still... :x I wouldn't say it's a uniquely American abuse either, I would reckon it would occur in any developed country. It's yet another good reason why people should be made to undergo some sort of test to become a dog owner.
15. I signed it. Just a thought: would deaf dogs competing increase their popularity and would that be a good or bad thing? eg. if double merles etc are almost always deaf, it's not a good idea to deliberately breed them is it, which may happen if their popularity soared? But on the other hand it would be good for the public to see how good deaf dogs can be. Thoughts?
16. Hello and welcome :) Unfortunately I can't help you. There are some Scandanavian and European posters on here though... see what comes up in the next day or so.
17. I would suggest a vet visit. Hopefully he or she will be able to put things right. It could be a number of things, as everyone has suggested and you'll only stress yourself out worrying about the possibilities (I do this with my cats all the time, that's how I know! :D). It could even be nothing, but only the vet can tell you that. FWIW, BK didn't slow down a kilometre until he was about 8 or so. He had a very long puppyhood *snort*. He's still crazy and approaching his 9th birthday in a week. Good luck :)
18. You are NOT a bad owner! It would take some sort of dog nazi to get your two females to accept each other, and even then it'd be touch and go. It's not a shameful thing to admit one of your dogs can't live with you. What is shameful is if you allow it to continue and someone gets seriously hurt, be it dogs or people. You're a GOOD dog owner and this is why you're doing what you're doing.
19. Happy birthday Montie! :bday: :bday: :bday: You know you are such a lucky dog to have such a sucker *cough cough* woops I mean caring owner as Jeanne.   I know what you mean about having a cute dog, if people aren't scared stiff of BK they adore him. He's always getting free food.
20. Agree, CK, it makes me mad too. A dog can die in five minutes in a hot car. My uncle had a friend who had a Dobermann. They had just been to the shops, it was a stinker of a day (ie 35-40C) and she took five or so minutes to unload the groceries; by the time she got back to the car to let her dog out he was dead. It's freezing here though, being in the middle of winter. I just wish it would rain more, we need the rain more than anything. :-? BK has his own little internal thermostat. The temperature has to be between 18-22C. Anything above or below that and he puts on his melodrama.

Ghost?

I've never had a ghostly experience. I know someone IRL who has, though.
22. Happy Birthday Jada! :bday: I think she looks very healthy. Most dogs are on the fat side and regarded as normal so it's hard to tell what an ideal weight is for the average dog anyway. :)
23. Rex from Inspector Rex (Austrian detective show) Rin Tin Tin Lassie (ha ha) Kane The Wonderdog (Australian) Dog On The Tuckerbox (another Australian dog) Benji What exactly do you mean by real life? Does that mean TV dogs and movie dogs don't count? Cartoon dogs? It really would help if you would tell us what you already have. :)
