Man dies after falling through ice near Frazee

FRAZEE, MINN. -- A 19-year-old man died after falling through the ice Tuesday trying to rescue his dog, said Becker County Sheriff Tim Gordon.

The man was under the ice of Wettels Lake near Frazee in western Minnesota for nearly an hour before he was recovered by divers.

The man was taken to MeritCare hospital in Fargo, N.D., where he died.

His name has not been released.

Hopefully an owner that will be just as loyal with watch over the dog till its time has come. Although I think the dog will always have a guardian angel.

It doesn't actually say that he was sucessful in saving the pup? Maybe he didn't die alone. How sad, either way :(
