I'm glad my last post helped. :) I didn't mean to tell you what to do. I feel so bad! I hope you all understand now. I just wanted to be a peacemaker. In the threads I was involved in, you guys were pretty hard IMO on some members. I just wanted you to drop it, out of sympathy. I'm sorry.
Well, to be honest though your post may have helped it probably didn't "make it all better." I leave that to the mods and everyone else. I don't know if you'll be exonerated by the mods for the cross forum trouble; I think that is a pretty serious offense. However I do wish you the best.

It is a bit pricey but I am really interested in this new radio collar. There are no buried wires and it is supposedly escape-proof as they get the correction constantly until they return in range. Plus it is portable so you can take it camping, when you move, etc. If I find the link I'll post it. Please don't yell at Grandpa. Grandparents are incredibly precious and he obviously didn't do it on purpose. If you get too mad at a grandparent you'll regret it soon enough (speaking sadly from a bit of experience).
I said I'm going to stay today and leave tomorow, because I wanted to make things more understandable. I called the title Jerks- Not because I think you're all "jerks" but because a few people treated me in a manner in which I felt they deserved the title. I'll leave a few quotes that hurt my feelings so you all better understand why I'm leaving. "WTF is wrong with you?" I found this most hurtful. The whole post: "NO! We don't believe you!!! You just said you were walking away and then you start up again! WTF is wrong with you? It's NOT your job to tell people what to do, especially K! THIS IS A PUBLIC FORUM and people don't have to argue via pm because you don't want to read it! If you don't like it, STAY OUT OF IT!!!!!" If I make you that angry, as you have all told me, stay out of it! Then, after that was said "Woohoo, amen DO." "Kitty girl...I think I speak for all whan I most politely say 'shut up!'" But mostly, I just want to say I'm sorry. I didn;t mean to start a "forum war". I was upset, and wanted to share my feelings with my friends on TCS. What I did was childish, and based on emotion, intsed of logic. I know you won't forgive me, but know this.
Kittygirl I for one did appreciate this post and reading your apology. About the post where you were "insulted", look it really wasn't that bad IMO. After all you were in essence telling people "shut up, if you want to argue then just PM." We really value our freedon to speak out here, and that is why it got such a strong reaction. As I have been told many times, get a thicker skin, my dear.
Thats too bad. I have found that a well bred APBT is absolutely the best dog with children!! Would some pictures of an APBT playing with kids (2,3,6,9,11,12) help her see the light?
Hmmmm, or anyone, we are all familiar with the pics of APBT's playing with children ... does anyone have pics with them playing with cats? Or is pit bull / cat really not a good combo and therefore CC's mom has a valid concern? I am not being critical I'm really curious. There is tons of evidence that they can be great with children but I have never heard one way or the other about felines.

From my experience the most cuddly and laid back are mutts.

Whatever one thinks of the "top ten" list (I think it makes some good points while not perfect) I LOVE these other pages: http://www.virtualimpax.com/klhh/2899.htm http://www.virtualimpax.com/klhh/2897.htm

STRANGE FRUIT: SEASONAL PRODUCE THAT CAN HARM YOUR PETS
BuddysMom replied to Daisysmom's topic in Everything about dogs
Thanks for sharing helpful info! It is disconcerting I must say to see the term "strange fruit" used so lightly, I am certain this author doesn't know any better and I will not pass judgement. However just in case anyone doesn't know ... http://www.lyricsfreak.com/b/billie-holiday/17859.html Southern trees bear strange fruit, Blood on the leaves and blood at the root, Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze, Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees. Pastoral scene of the gallant south, The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth, Scent of magnolias, sweet and fresh, Then the sudden smell of burning flesh. Here is fruit for the crows to pluck, For the rain to gather, for the wind to suck, For the sun to rot, for the trees to drop, Here is a strange and bitter crop. -
What gets me even worse than the coyotes is how indiscriminatley people kill snakes. I've counted over the years the number of rattlesnakes I've spotted, and over the years the number has gotten smaller and smaller until my last year in Calif in which I didn't find any. People refuse to believe that snakes are not a problem. If you live in snake country (I'm talking about venomous species) you should educate yourself and your children, most pets are wise enough to leave them be. And when people realize that snakes are not nearly as much of a danger to themsleves and their families there shouldn't be any need to kill them. If you don't like snakes go live in the city! Alot of the snakes that people kill are completely harmless and are victims of human ignorance.
This whole thread is good to see but I especially want to thank you for sticking up for the snakes. I have a major phobia of them but without them we would have a terrible imbalance and probably bubonic plague (which we've actually seen 2 cat and one person case of in my region this year).

I like all the posts but then it has never been my goal to "keep up" with everything that goes on here. Hel-LO, it's a forum. As long as people are following The Rules which dictate common sense and courtesy, I would hate to see other restrictions applied.

Eeeew ... sorry you had to go through that. You don't always find them at first because when they "latch on" they are small, then they grow over the days. I have found them on my dog when I lived up in the mountains, never any adverse affects. It was so common in Estes Park the vets would remove them for free for those too squeamish or unsure of how to do it. I wish you the best.

I was not bored to tears but rather moved to tears by that verse.

I wouldn't find a maltese's yapping to be cute, but I guess it takes all kinds. I do agree with whoever said if it's just when someone comes home they can stuff it, but if it's all the time you haev a problem. A water squirt bottle works great for shooing C@ts.

Wow, what a nice experience!

Depends on the situation, like most others said. Puppy bit my husband pretty hard just because he went to grab her collar. But this incident was a big part of our realization that she was going senile. We found the drug Anipryl, tried it and luckily it warked amazingly well. Now if there had been small children in our household Puppy would have been PTS. We would not have gambled while waiting to see if the drug would work.

What vacuum cleaners do y'all use? Are they good, bad, or average with pet hair? After my old dirt devil died (which was average with pet hair) I tried to buy three and returned each of them for being either completely useless or ridiculously cumbersome. This included the dyson 'animal' which was both the above, plus defective and overpriced. Finally I tried a Bissell cleanview with turbobrush and it rocks!!! I am so happy I just have to share, and wondering what your experiences are.

 Thanks! xav ... I have been lurking and wondering what's up with Alan too. My question is, what's with all the questions Alan? Not that it's a bd thing. Are you writing a book or just a curious person?

ok I see your point. they have run roughshod over you, and I understand. I am Court there. PM me if you need help, but trust me. If you really need help, without all the bashing, come here. I TRY to help newbies there with real problems. but there is no real sync. for Sync, come here. 8)
That's wonderful of you to do, Court. I remember you from PF. I'm taking your advice about putting Caeser in timeout for a little while. Thank you. *hugs* It feels really good to have someone understand. Thank you.
I agree, I have found courtnek to be a great mentor here. Sorry fro the 'hero worship' Court!

Wow this is an incredible set of questions rhetorical or not. I like them being asked and appreciate all the responses .. I also may try to answer myself, but not tonight!
