1. Well if I'm wrong I apologize, but the only time I have ever heard someone talking about teacup dogs is a dog WAY under the standard. And whats wrong with a normal sized chi? Still carryable.
2. Yorkies: Height: 6-7 inches (15-17
3. What if I said: Okay, I've made up my mind. I want to go out and get a Golden Collie (golden retriever/ border collie mix) I know its just a fad breed, but oh well. Now if I actually posted this, I would get flamed. But I never would post it because I will not support BYB's even though my "Golden Collie" is the best dog I've ever had. whats the difference between buying a designer breed and buying a designer sized dog?
4. I in NO WAY implied that DAL should not have rescued Cody. I simply said he should not be deaf and if his breeder had done research and know that two merle aussies should not be bred, Cody wouldn't have to be deaf. I didn't say DAL would go directly to a BYB. But thats the only place where anyone would find a teacup chi, because they are not meant to be teacup. Plain and simple.
5. Yes, and as much as you love him as he is, Cody should not be deaf! He wouldn't be either if some slimeball hadn't bred his parents without doing research! You do take great care of your dogs, but thats not an excuse to go out and buy from and support a BYB just cause you want a tiny tiny dog!
6. A backyard breeder is an unethical breeder who dosnt care about the health of the puppy or where the puppies end up. With a "teacup" dog your much more likely to end up with problems. There is NO such thing as a teacup of any breed, its only bad breeders breeding the smallest dogs possible to get money. I think (I'm no expert on little dogs) the smallest breed is a chihuahua. I do know the smallest dog in the world is a yorkshire terrier, but again chances are that dog was bred for nonthing more then money. Dogs should be the size the offical standards say they are, not what happens to be popular at the moment.
7. Congrats on the new puppy! I'm sure Justin will be very....surprised. Oh you mentioned in another post about wanting a teacup chihuahua, I'm very sure you know there isn't such a thing and they're just a product of BYB's buuut just in case anyone else dosn't know I thought I'd point that out.
8. Okay, I know I posted yesterday but my post is gone! Wow your not having any doggy luck lately are you? :( Best wishes to Chico, hopefully their's nothing wrong and he'll be just fine and dandy really soon. I really really really hope no one is trying to poison them! People are just horrible if that happens (fingers crossed its not) to be the case. :(
9. Its too bad your allergic to her. :( I'm allergic to cats AND dogs, and yep I live on allergy pills. Zero's been sleeping with me lately, and like you I often wake up with puffy eyes, so that may have to stop.
10. Finally found out what happened, the good news is the dog's fine but apparently the dog was having a seizure. But he's doing fine now and thats what really matters. :D
11. Happy Birthday! Hope you have many more birthdays ahead of you!
12. Happy Birthday Chelsea! Hope your mom spoils you today! :D
13. I don't get why people would want to make a dog smell like flowers anyway? Plus if the dog just got a bath its obviously clean so why would you need to mask the smell of CLEAN dog?
14. :o That just proves how easily a dog can be mis-identified during an attack.
15.
What is this the I hate JRT post ??? Have any of you actually had a JRT ? I'm hearing "I heard" an awful lot......... Boy, people pick up in arms when someones bashing a Pit Bull or some large breed but ...... This just really sucks. I'm actually shaking......I did a lot of research before I chose this breed thank you, and they are not hyper. Sassy went through Beginners and Advanced Obedience with flying colors, actually the "STAR" of her class. And in her class there were dogs that had to be muzzled because of dog aggressive behavior and she wasn't one of them. And neither of mine wear prong collars, I know alot of other people with JRT's and I don't know any that wear them...... I get just as sick of hearing stereotypical crap about my breed, just the same as Pit Bull owners !!!!! Let me add that a few of you did say nice things, but please let's stick to facts not sterotypes.
Wow. It really didn't seem like anyone here was bashing or saying they hated JRT's! I happen to love them, I think they're the only little dog I'd ever own. We dog sat one for a little while who was far from what I'd call hyper (the pug we looked after was much more hyper actually). I really think you got the wrong impression.
16. I'm sure he would thank you all if he knew you wished him a happy "birthday" I made him a cake for breakfast this morning out of canned dog food, peanut butter and decorated with dog biscuits. He definately loved it, though it didn't smell to nice to me.
17. I wish there was something more I could say. I'm so so sorry. I know he's running free at the bridge waiting for the day you'll join him.
18. We'll not his real birthday, but since we got Riley on Sept 14th last year we decided to call it his birthday. So happy second birthday Riley! I can't believe its been a year already!
19. I can't believe I didn't see this post 'till now either! So glad she's back, even if she's a big roughed up! I'm sure she's very grateful to be home and comfortable again.
20. I only have these for now but give me a day and I'll get more of all three of them if you still need more then. 21. Hey, sorry I really don't know what to say, I'm not sure whats going on. I called my cousin and she said she would call her friend and call me back, and she did and told me her friend called her parents, but unfortunately thats all I know for now. I'll probably update you all tonight, thanks for caring, I only wish I could've done more. :(
22. Its not one of my dogs but my cousin's friends dog apparantly he just collapsed, no parents home and the 11 year old kid and his sister 15 i think are home alone, so no way to get the dog immidiately to the vet, i told her to tell her friend to call her parents and go over to a neighbours to see if they can help and gave her instructions on how to perform CPR on a dog (from a website) but i don't know what else to do! someone help!
23.

Thats horrible! You know, I almost wish they did get permission. Just so I could go over there and throw eggs and milk at them.
