1. I don't have any advice but i do have a question. Everytime Lucky and Chaos play together they get really riled up and lucky startes humping Chaos. We stop him when we can but no one is home during the day. The problem is Lucky is 75 lbs and Chaos is only 30 and i'm afraid that he's gonna hurt her hips or something. What can I do to discourage him?
2. I'll help "educate" them! Heres the link I looked it up ( I hope you don't mind) http://bbs.sitstay.com/wwwthreads.php?Cat=1,2,3,4,9 Shara- I know i haven't been here that long, but I spent a coulple days reading the entire board before I joined, and it was obvious how much you cared about Hazel and how much your worked with her. How many people at SitStay can boast that there dog knows over 200 (is that right?) commands? Not many I think.
3. Awww I love the border collie puppy! Gotta start saving my allowance!
4. When we bought Lucky ( I know, Iknow...... I was 8 at the time and my parents knew NOTHING about puppy mills, now we know better.) The puppies were pretty well looked after. But they told us he came from a "reputable breeder" (he's a mutt for crying out loud! at least they didn't put a fancy name on his 'breed') In Nova Scotia. They said half the litter was kept "to be show dogs" I didn't know till later thats mutts can't be in shows. But the good thing is the supervisot at PJ's (petstore) is trying to get the people who own PJ's to stop selling puppies and kittens. She also take all the puppies who are too big or past the "cute stage" and findthem homes for free.
5. Canned pumpkin? never heard of that but I'll try it ! Malamum, they ate the food anywhere from 12-2 pm and I didn't take them for a walk until 8, which is the normal time we take them out, so I hope it should be okay. I still have NO CLUE how Chaos got the food which was up high beacsue we don't feed kibble anymore. I know it wasn't Lucky because he's never done that even when his food bag was on the floor all day.
6. You could always try the pre-packaged barf meals. When were to busy to prepare the food one day we always give them that instead. The brand I use is Healthy Paws but I'm not sure if you can find it there because its Ontario based. you can check out the site to learn more about pre-package barf if you like. 7. I got home from school this afternoon and saw a bag of dog food ripped into tiny little pieces. Chaos had somehow taken the bag from on top of the cupboard and she and Lucky ate every last kibble. Both of them are so bloated. But I think Chaos got most of it. She looks like she's expecting puppies any day now :o . Of course i didn't feed them dinner tonight, but Should I feed breakfast tomorrow? The bag was about 10 pounds. They both also have diarriah because they haven't eaten kibble in a long time. Should i give them rice or something else to clear it up? i ahve to admit it was kinda funny cause Chaos keeps waddling around, But i took her for a REALLY good run tonight so she looks a little better.
8. I got them both right. (only beacause I,ve seen these before, I didn't the first time i tried it.

Chihuahua Food

Angerboddy, I use to feed Nutro max and my dogs coat were both dull, they has dandruff and my already lazy dog had NO energy. Now that i've switched their food it is the total opposite. If you read the ingredients Nutro food does not have enough protein in it either, and it was found to be one of the foods which contained pentobarbitol, a drug used to euthinize animals.
10. Freaky :o. just make sure to not leave her unsupervised with intact male dogs. You actually dream about things that are gonna come true? cool! :D I wish I could do that!

12.   I bet you the dog DID know who it was. But the bad part is, more bad press for rotties :(
13. Never heard of Inky either . And this guy gets to be PROTECTED from other inmates? :x I say let em go at him! And he wants special treatment after he KILLED HIS GUIDE DOG!? I have a friend who's blind and has a german shepherd guide dog named Cassie. And if you thought your dogs were faithful, it dosen't even compare to what these dogs do for their owners! This guy deserves to be beaten to death the way he killed his, no not his he didn't deserve that dog, a faithful companion.
14. I think Chaos was a cat too, she rubs against your legs like my cats, and makes a purring sound when you rub her tummy. Also she's as independent as a cat. Lucky, a bear. A big lumbering black bear.
15. Ok my turn. CGC Test Procedures The purpose of the Canine Good Citizen Program is to ensure that our favorite companion, the dog, can be a respected member of the community. To receive the CGC certificate, dogs take the 10 item Canine Good Citizen Test. Items on the test include: Test Item 1: Accepting a friendly stranger Lucky: yes Chaos: probaby, she likes most people. Test Item 2: Sitting politely for petting yes for both Test Item 3: Appearance and grooming Lucky: yes. Chaos would bite the examiner, How dare he touch her paws! Test Item 4: Out for a walk (walking on a loose lead) This test demonstrates that the handler is in control of the dog. The dog may be on either side of the handler. The dog's position should leave no doubt that the dog is attentive to the handler and is responding to the handler's movements and changes of direction. The dog need not be perfectly aligned with the handler and need not sit when the handler stops. The evaluator may use a pre-plotted course or may direct the handler/dog team by issuing instructions or commands. In either case, there should be a right turn, left turn, and an about turn with at least one stop in between and another at the end. The handler may talk to the dog along the way, praise the dog, or give commands in a normal tone of voice. The handler may sit the dog at the halts if desired. yes to both /color] Test Item 5: Walking through a crowd Yep Test Item 6: Sit and down on command - staying in place Hey Chaos is doing this in training class. Lucky F he doesen't do commands unless im right in front of him. Test Item 7: Coming when called This test demonstrates that the dog will come when called by the handler. The handler will walk 10 feet from the dog, turn to face the dog, and call the dog. The handler may use encouragement to get the dog to come. Handlers may choose to tell dogs to "stay" or "wait" or they may simply walk away, giving no instructions to the dog. Probably pass Test Item 8: Reaction to another dog Nope neither of them. F Test Item 9: Reaction to distraction Lucky-yea Chaos would try to eat the jogger or steal the cane. Test Item 10: Supervised separation Chaos would fail, She has slight seperation axiety. Lucky-pass.
16. Speaking of kisses, When Chaos lickes me she always sticks her tongue in my ear, up my nose or in my mouth :o She's really weird
17.
...what about a citronella collar??
Sorta off topic but my trainer told me about a dog who barked until he emptied the collar and when it was empty he could bark as much as he wanted!
18. Well you better hurry up and figure out how to use it so we can finally see pics!
19. Both my vets have always given shots in the rump, I thought thats what all vets did but I guess not.
20. Ya I heard thay found a couple cows in Alberta, that had mad cow. I'm glad I feed barf with chicken. :o
21. Turns out it was fluid that had collected under the scar. Apparently it usually happens to large very active dogs, which is weird cause Chaos is only 30 pounds. Anyway the vet said it should go away in about a month or so.
22. Were allowed on the internet when the teacher is there. She'll take us to the 'computer lab' (fancy term for room full of computers) to research projects. i was suppossed to be researching something for a history project, but decided to sneak on Dogo. Not that the teacher even looks at us so it wasen't that hard. Whats really funny is that there is this HUGE sign in the room that say NO CHAT, NO EMAIL, NO GAMES. Oh well, dogo isen't a chat room anyway its a forum! Anyway were gonna take Chaos into the vet tomorrow just to to look at the lump, and the good part is it won't cost anything if the vet just has a quick look. he's a really great vet and only charges patients when he has to.
