I'm thinking of putting up a privacy fence!
JackieMaya replied to JackieMaya's topic in Everything about dogs
Lookie what I found on the internet! Now there is vinyl fencing that looks like wood! I'm going to see if anyone around me sells it. If I could swing it, I would really rather have vinyl if it looks like wood. I like the looks of wood WAY better than vinyl. -
The second link is a link to the same thread as the above, and if the second website id down how can we tell? I don't think its up to us, you should visit both and see which you like better. You can't tell from a website what the staff/vet is like.
I agree. Check them out in person and then decide.
I agree with Malamum. Don't want to open it? Nobody's standing there holding a knife to your throat demanding that you do, are they? (At least I hope not.) 8) I can't think of a time where anyone has been reprimanded, friend of K's or not, for asking too many questions.
I agree with don't open it if you don't want to. But when he posts so many every day, other posts get lost. I like his posts, but there are just too many all at once.
Or maybe we could make a new section and call it ALAN!
There ya go!

I figure the reason Pooh Bear doesn't like the rain right now is because he has a naked butt. We'll see once all his hair grows back in.

Well, I don't think Pooh Bear is going to be much of a water dog! I put up two pools for the kids today because the temp was about 75 degrees. Jackie and Maya were splashing around like crazy. Pooh Bear wouldn't go in. I picked him up and set him in the smaller one (the water is probably up to his knees in that one) and he just jumped out. I had a big Jolly Ball with no handle on it (guess who chewed it off?) in the bigger pool (about the same depth as the little pool), and he kept trying to get it from outside of the pool, putting his foot out and trying to catch it like a cat will reach out to try to get a ball. He would just touch his foot to the water and take it back out again. LOL So I don't know if I'll be doing swimming therapy with him or not! It rained yesterday, and I'm hearing thunder now, so I won't be going to the lake today. But one of these days I'll take Pooh Bear down to the lake and walk in with him and see if he'll go in willingly. If not, I guess hydrotherapy is out for the little guy!
I think most (if not all) are guilty of "pointless" posts at times. I think it would be more overwhelming to have all the questions on one post, but that may just be me, lol. It would be nice to hear more about him and his dogs though...pics too, or have I missed them?
Oh, I agree that we've all posted pointless posts at times. But maybe Alan could do like one a week so we don't get overwhelmed with questions and so other posts don't get lost.
-
opinion from me. Its rather pointless asking ten different questions which are all mostly pointless at once. If it was a new person unknown they would be reprimanded I am quite sure.
I actually agree with this too. If Alan wants to questions, that's fine, but how about cutting it down to maybe one question a day (or week), or putting several questions in one thread. I'd like to see him post something about his own dogs once in a while too instead of only asking questions about everyone else.

This is the fence that appeals the most to me. It would look nice from both sides. I don't want it to look too formidable. Would dogs be able to climb up this fence with the rail on the inside? -
Doesn't she just have the sweetest face?

"dancing" which seemed to involve hopping and flailing to the beat.
Sorry, I have nothing to add that no one else hasn't already said, but this made me laugh out loud. Flailing to the beat... *snicker*
I did. I called it "white man's disease"! LOL :B-fly:

Luckily I live in a very nice neighborhood, with no bratty kids, and all the neighbors are great (well, ALMOST all). I would definitely get the thicker boards on a privacy fence. And two sides of my back yard are all wooded, so it's fairly private already. I've been driving around my neighborhood looking at some of the privacy fences and getting an idea of what I want and don't want. The more I think about the idea of a privacy fence, the more I like it! -
Awww, what a sweety! I can't wait to see more pictures once she gets all cleaned up!

DO -- what did i tell you bout trying to scare the preacher? you have to go up and ring the bell then streak!
 I guess streaking isn't that bad. ONe time I was in my room having *ahem* sexual relations and my bedroom window was open. I had an intense orgasm and was screaming louder than ever. Oh, did I mention it was on a Sunday morning right as church was getting out??? I'm sure they all liked that!
*screaming in laughter* and wishing I could do that..no significant other..bummer... 8)
Who says there was a significant other? :banan: -
3 times struck by lightning, jm? that explains a lot if ya know what i mean?
 :silly: :tard:

Good for you Nancy! I love to hear of more people going for the natural look. And a big congratulations to Mason! What a great achievement!

I'm terrified of lightning. I should be: I've been hit three times! I'm a human lightning rod!

Geez, it sounds like the guy had "white man's disease" - can't dance. I dated a guy once who looked like he was having seizures on the dance floor. LOL But back to the topic at hand, it actually might not be a bad idea to have someone dance like a white man in front of Kavic and see if he does it again, or if it was a one-time behavior. And watch Kavic from right before the guy starts dancing and see if you notice his behavior changing (Kavic, not the bad dancer). Good luck.

My girls are so goofy. Sometimes they'll stay out in the rain for an hour before they decide to come in. Same thing with the snow. They have such thick coats that it probably takes that long for the rain to hit their skin. Pooh Bear, on the other hand, goes out to do his thing (poop or bark at squirrels), and then he wants to come right back in. They all LOVE being toweled off. It's been raining all day, so it smells like wet dogs downstairs now.

LOL! I just love how the conversations ALWAYS go into the gutter. It doesn't matter what the original subject matter was, it always ends up about sex or bodily functions. ONLY on Dogo! -
:new-bday: boys! It sounds like you had a great birthday. P.S. Tell your mom to show us some recent pictures of you two!

I've seen ads for vinyl privacy fences too. Do any of you know anyone with a vinyl privacy fence? They're a WHOLE lot more expensive, but they would probably last forever. -
I'm seriously considering tearing down my chain link fence (which is only 3 to 3-1/2 feet tall) and putting up a 6 foot wood privacy fence. Then all the dogs could be loose in the yard, and they wouldn't be able to see the critters and people in the other yards, and that would take care of 90% of the barking! I got the idea from the ad for Home Depot. They have a good deal on 6' by 8' wood fence panels. They also do the installation. I'm going to get some estimates from some other companies too. Last year I got a $3,800 estimate from one fencing company to raise my existing chain link fence to 6 feet! I think I can get a wood privacy fence put up for about half that price. I was just thinking... (scary, I know)... the people three houses down from me put up a 6 foot wood privacy fence last year when they moved in. It looks real nice. I think I might bop over there and see who did it for them. Then I'll have a wood privacy fence and a wood deck! Kewl! :ylsuper: I could be naked out in the yard! :B-fly:
Just for the sake of the poop topic, mine poop in the morning. Unless Kenzo is STUBBORN and doesn't.....and sometimes (once a month at the most) he'll poop in the corner of the house, same spot. Otherwise, Kenzo poops in along the front of the fence and Kika poops in the back part. SO we have have a nice path we know where NO poop is. Don't worry, I won't post any poop pix as I have in the past!
Like the glistening yule log? :sweetCyberM:
