How old is your dog in his/her years?
JackieMaya replied to kittygirl109's topic in Everything about dogs
Jackie's DogAge is 18.8! That's 8.0 years younger than the average DogAge for Jackie's breed. DogAge is the biological age of your dog, measured in people years. Your dog is as young as she can be! Your dog is lucky to have such a wonderful caretaker. Make your dog even happier by checking out the details of your results below. -
I don't get rawhides for my dogs any more because one of them (Jackie) buries hers right away, and Maya and Pooh Bear are SOOO into eating that they would both gulp theirs down right away (Maya used to).

LOL! Tell him to unplug his computer, put it back in the box it came in, and send it back because he's too stupid to have a computer!

I never wake them up when they're dreaming. I figure they're dreaming about running after squirrels and barking at them.
well if you want to be all vulgar about it, miss vanna white! girls have cuckoos! boys have tweeters!
Maybe in Maryland they do, but in Minnesota, girls have tw@t$ and boys have c :mdrmed: ck$
ahem! JM kes is a she :D you know, she has cuckoo not a tweeter! poor baby kes! well i guess the bright side is that the glass didn't break and no one was hurt. there is no way i could be mad at miss kes -- she is waaaay too cute.
Yeah, yeah. I knew what I meant. Not to say your terminology is wrong, but it sounds like girls should have tweeters and boys have cuckoos. Tweeter: take out the E's and the R and put an A after the W. Cuckoo: switch the U to an O and delete the two Os at the end. Am I right or am I right?

I have a chain link fence that's been up since about 1960. The fence is 3 feet tall in some spots and 3'6" in some spots. I have about 250 feet of fence. I got an estimate last year of $3,800 to get the fence raised to 6 feet. I was thinking of either getting a wood privacy fence or chain link privacy inserts. But for the time being, my fence is just staying the way it is.

Jackie and Maya get Science Diet Light Large Breed dry food. Pooh Bear gets Science Diet Liet dry food. And they all get Science Diet Light treats and other light treats. I tried giving them veggies as treats, but they all turned up their noses at them.

It's been eons since I've had a puppy, so I think that puppy hiccups are fairly normal, but the puppy owners on here will know better about that. A good way to get rid of the hiccups is to just lightly pat them on the back (like burping a baby).

I have a feeling little Kes is going to have his momma wrapped around his adorable little paws! They just don't come much cuter than Kessie!

Luckily, when it's 20 below in the dead of winter, I can just open the door and let the kids out while I sit inside the house until they're ready to come back in.

What silly nicknames do you have for your pets?
JackieMaya replied to Canis erectus's topic in Everything about dogs
Well, since I can't possibly be expected to keep three dogs' names straight (AND a horse), they all end up having a combination of names every once in a while. I even called my horse, Jerry, "Pooh Bear" the other day! Maya ends up being Jamaya a lot. She's also Fluffybutt, Yellow Girl, Tomboy, Sweetie. Jackie is Jackiegirl, Wigglebutt, My Big Girl, The Princess, Sweetie Pooh Bear is My Little Boy, Poohboy, Mr. PoohBear, Baby Boy, Sweetie Jerry is My Big Boy, My Big Redhead, Kiddo, Sweetie When I call Jackie and Maya together, I say JackieMaya or Girls. But when I talk to all three of them, I say Kids. Edited to add that I'll have to start calling Jackie "Buckwheatie" since that's how Jackie translates to Jive! LOL -
I found this fun site where you can make up your own error messages (or use the ones they already have). http://atom.smasher.org/error/gallery/
Look again JM, that's TWO weeks, sounds kinda gross to me too. Actually I'd be inclined to say that's it's not a bad idea per say, but it sounds to me like alot of lazy people. Mind you though, there's plenty of times (20 below in the dead of winter) when I wouldn't mind not going outside.
Ewww! Two weeks of pee and poop on a patch of sod in the house. No thanks!
Verminous little bags filth! Can't stand them, and this town has more squirrils than Bill Gates has money. When me and the girls are staring up at them in the trees wondering what they might taste like I can swear I see the buggers sneering at us. Fred hates them too, spotting them too close to the house will send him into fits. I actually have a hilarious story about Fred and the squirrils. After we first moved here the summer before last I was sitting on the back porch with Fred so he could get some sunshine and fresh air. After awhile he spotted the bird seed on the ground that was scattered from the feeder by the squirrils (this was before I realized that it's inane to spend $6 on a bag of bird seed that the squirrils will only destroy in a weeks time) and he decided to hop down and go see what it tasted like. After a bit a squirril came down out of a tree and headed for the bird feeder, note that the squirrils here are quite brazen, especially the ones at my house since the old people in the apartments next door are always feeding them. This squirril thought that he was going to eat some more of my bird seed, but instead when he got too close Fred squealed and charged him with his wings out and his little 'hat' (his crest) standing on end. I started laughing so hard that I could barely watch Fred hopping after that tree rat across the yard. By the time I could get myself together and decide to go collect Fred, he was stomping around the tree that the rodent had ran up and was hitting his beak on the ground and screaming like an angry mob. Ah yes, that was fun, I'm laughing aloud right now just remembering it.
LOL! That would be hysterical! I would have peed myself watching that!
a couple of groups that I am on have a card exchange..it's a lot of fun...it can be a lil expensive with stamps..but i think it's worth it...
I think it sounds like a great idea! I bet a lot of Dogo-ites would participate! I would! -
Oh boy, then you can have all the joys of the great outdoors (ants and worms and dirt and all sorts of fun stuff) inside! I think I'll pass. And you would have that one 2'x3' piece of pee-soaked/poop-laden sod in your house for a week? Gee, what a great idea!

Those damn squirrels even taunt Pooh Bear when he's in the house! I was downstairs the other day and he just started barking like crazy upstairs. I went up there, and about 20 feet in front of the picture window where he was on the sofa was a little squirrel just sitting there taunting him. "Neener neener neener, you can't get me!"

I think my friend is going to adopt this little guy!
JackieMaya replied to JackieMaya's topic in Everything about dogs
This is my friend who went with me when I went to pick up Pooh Bear from the foster home. And she is also the one who is going to Iowa with me in September! We went to school together from grade school through high school, so we've been friends a LONG time. I haven't heard from her yet tonight, but I know she's been REAL busy at work this week. She said she would call me tonight.
