Pinch Collars?

I've never used a prong collar, but I don't have anything against them as long as they're used properly. The haltis work great on my kids. They don't run to the end of the leash, so they've never had their necks cranked. I figure whatever works the best for each individual dog and handler is the one you should use (IF used properly).
2.
I cannot understand people moving and not taking a dog with them
I agree with you 100% on that!
3. I'm also suprised the poor girl wasn't blinded, and that she apparently has recovered quite well. Can you imagine the pain she went through?
4. And look at this other cutie! His name is Yoda. They said he "looks like a cross between a border terrier – sharpei –Staffordshire terrier – and wheaten." 5. I just love this girl! Isn't she adorable? She's a 2 year-old Shepherd/Doxie mix. Her owners moved overseas and couldn't take her with them. 6. I saw this on another site. Yikes! Somewhere out there is a naked Porcupine. Inca apparently did not know when to quit when she encountered the porcupine on Victoria Day, May 23rd. These are the pictures the vet sent before the long (and expensive) procedure to remove the quills. She had thousands of quills, and her tongue was so covered, she could not close her mouth. It was pretty scary at first. She is doing okay now, but looks like a World War III survivor as they had to cut some out in places, stitched between her toes, and many quills bled on removal. There are still quills buried in her, but they should work their way out over time (I pulled four more today). She is on antibiotics and pain meds and thankfully is doing quite well. Maybe she was showing off for her new boyfriend, Rocky, I don't know; but he only got a few in him, which friends were able to remove. Ike, of course, had better sense. I sure hope that the Queen of Quills has learned her lesson. 7. Okay already! Sheesh! I posted the pictures of the kids playing in my olympic-size pool. Aren't you jealous?
8. It was over 90 humid degrees again today, and I filled up the kiddie pool for the puppers and set it under the trees. I sat back there with them at my table and I'll bet it was 20 degrees cooler there than it was out of the shade. I have gigantimungous trees in my back yard and they give off a LOT of shade. I took a bunch of pictures of their pool party but didn't have time to download them before work. So you'll just have to wait. neener neener booboo!
9. Kat, I'm so sorry to hear that Zoe is gone, and also very sorry that she deteriorated so rapidly after the vet sent her home. Zoe, run free with all the other Dogo dogs!
10. DAL, I know it was a very hard decision to make, but it sounds like it was the right decision for Stryker. It sounds like he really needs to be around kids. Some dogs just crave the companionship of kids. You definitely did the right thing for Stryker and shouldn't feel bad about a thing!
11. I agree with DO that maybe you should get some blood workup done on him. Maybe there's a health reason that he's getting so much more aggressive.
12. Do you think that maybe the addition of the new cat might have set him off?
13. Izzy, congratulations on your new baby(ies)! You have a big heart, and now you'll have a big family! Hurry up and get your camera fixed! We wanna see!
14.
I don't really have any suggestions because I am already not the most tactful person, but even less so when it comes to my dogs. What he did was wrong, wrong, wrong. And I would have gone OFF on this guy the first time it happened. This is your dog. All I can say is do not let this person pet sit for you. Do not let this person take your dog out. Next time he wants to take her out, just say no. You do it yourself. And if he asks why just simply state that he does not respect your wishes when it comes to your dog, so you will just do it yourself.
Ditto!
15. Pooh Bear has been having a blast chewing up and unrolling the toilet paper when the bathroom door is open. My last puppy, my Golden named Cracker (which was about 30 years ago) used to grab on to the end of the roll and turn around and run out the bathroom door and up the stairs with it. He did it one time when I was standing there putting on my makeup. He must not have thought I could see him since my back was to him. Jackie and Maya have never gotten into the toilet paper, and no other dog I ever had did either, EXCEPT when they were puppies. Pooh Bear does his toilet paper destruction pretty quickly too. Goofy puppy! What favorite things do your puppies get into?
16. :hmmmm:
17. Any of my three dogs would probably be easy to steal as they're all so friendly and all love people. :-?
18. Alena, I'm so glad Leo is home! I would just give him a little space and let him come up to everyone on his own. Like Mei-Mei said, who knows what happened while he was gone. Give him a hug for me (if he'll let you).
19. My Golden Retriever, Cracker, was terrified of fireworks. On July 4, my dad didn't close the back gate and Cracker got out and ran away. There were fireworks going off all over the neighborhood. I think that maybe his ID tag had fallen off or something, because the people who found him called my vet clinic and gave them the number on his rabies tag. He had gone across a busy 4-lane highway and was at a nice family's house. The pads on his feet were raw from being on the street, but other than that he was fine. We got him back home after two or three days. So call every place you can think of: the pound, shelters, vet clinics, police. And put a lost dog ad in the paper too. Good luck!
20. Please tell me we're not going to list Doodle dogs. :o
21. I'm glad Riley is feeling better. He'll be swimming in no time and will forget about those stupid things that were dangling between his legs.
22. Alena, I'm so sorry that Leo is lost. Hopefully some kind soul will find him and return him to you soon! I'm crossing my fingers and toes that he comes home safely!
23. Kat, I'm so sorry that it's time for you to let Zoe go. You've given her a wonderful life. I hope she meets up with my Golden Retriever, Cracker, on the other side of the bridge. RIP Zoe.
24. When one of my horses got gelded, his voice changed overnight! I kid you not! He had a studly nicker when he had his balls, and the day after he lost them, he had a high girlie whinney, and he had that for the rest of his life! LOL!
25.
Oh yea, that's right you were gone for a bit... Ummm.. welcome back... We missed you...? :evilbat:
Now don't go getting all mushy on me! :lmaa:
