Our dogs are allowed on the bed, and only sleep with us once in a while (only because they keep us up!!) But, we have never had a problem either.

CHRISTMAS!!wat's on ur list? got any plans?
Daisysmom replied to Holz_Boomer's topic in Everything about dogs
It's funny how the holidays mean so many different things to so many different people. For me, I usually think of my dad who isn't with us any more, and really become quite sad.... but there are good times too. Hope you all have a wonderful and peaceful holiday!! Here is a little something that I want... www.passionfordogs.co.uk the lab of course  -
So far I bought a waterbottle with a funnel shape on top for them to drink from, 3 cans of doggie mints, a stocking for Jake and Chelsea and one of those fetch and flash balls!! I think I will get a new kong or 2 or 3!! with a can of the filler that goes inside.

LOL!!! a new little dependent would be wonderful!!!

My class has taken up most of my time, but I am getting an A!!!!!! (Macroeconomics - YUCK!!) Any babies yet??????? I'll have to check out the posts!!! Positive thoughts and prayers please for little Alfie
Daisysmom replied to ellieangel's topic in Everything about dogs
Seems to be getting a little better :-? I feel so bad for Fred. Get well soon Alfie! -
Stitches came out today, a day late, but he is fine and looks pretty good. Poor Patty had to take care of all three while we were away. I swear he grew a foot!! He is as tall as Daisy now!! :o
-
Point taken... I'll get the camera out!! I swear he is calming down. He actually cuddles with me again. Slowly I hope to get him back!
-
I am trying to stop it, and I agree.... Chelsea is a timid dog, and a smaller breed mix, she is already outweighed by Jake, and especially when they are swimming has a hard time keeping him off her neck!!
-
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I am firm with him, but it is constant.... :-? Poor Chelsea gets the brunt of it. When we go to the lake for a swim, he won't leave her alone.... he is constantly biting at her neck and collar while she is swimming. He is going to drown her!!!! Thanks for the advice! Haven't been around much with my class and all. (Humping isn't a problem, it's just the aggression)
if you dont want the dogs to get it make sure you dont leave it where they can get it,
Jake takes papers and mail right off the kitchen counter and table :o
-
Well, that is promising any way. Jake is 5 months, and has always been a very sweet and calm dog until pretty recently. So, I am hopeful that the old Jake will return in a few months!! Thanks!
-
We had Jake fixed a few days ago, and he is still acting very dominate and rough. I called the vet and they said it takes 3 months for the testosterone to leave his system. Does this sound right? And, will he calm down? Has anyone experienced this before with their male dog? He is really becoming a handful..... always barking at me and just more dominate than the girls. You all know, he is my first male, and I'm not too experienced here!!!!
-
Oh, great news!!! So happy to hear it!! Congrats :D

Oh Mouse!! I'm so sorry to hear about Poppy. I haven't been around and just saw the woofit e-mail. RIP sweet Poppy

The benefits of knowing someone with a herding dog!
Daisysmom replied to JackieMaya's topic in Sport & work
They really do have natural instincts. I am convinced that Chelsea is a BC mix now. The other day, we were at the dog park and she was herding some woman't little dog. She called her a herder  I didn't even talk to that woman, so she didn't know that I thought she might be a BC, and now, I really do! There were also a few dogs that looked just like her and they were lab/BC too :D
