Lucky Chaos

Well I do have a special dog tooth brush but I usually just use my old one. I also use special doggy toothpaste. Although I haven' brushed the dogs teeth for a while :oops: bones help keep teeth clean, and a carrot a day is good too.

You really have to have a dog with a certin personality, who's not afraid of loud noises for this type of work.

I've tried that Courtnek, but everytime I do my dad just tells me to let them work it out, because their dogs :( . I seperate them anyway, and put Chaos in the little bathroom for 5 mins or until she stops crying. I don't think that I'm the Alpha, I guess my mom would be cause Chaos likes women more then men but the fights usually start when she's at work. But whatever I've been doing is getting worse rather then better. Even if I pet Chaos for 10 mins or so, and then my mom pets her and holds her on a leash all she does is growl at Riley.

Well I don't know I've never tried the puppy food since Chaos was raised as a puppy on BARF, but even the adult kibble isen't that big, how old is your puppy now?

Yes I have heard of dogs being tethered while doing schutzhund. And the dogs love it. It's a game to them, a fun one. I read somewhere that some dogs are teathered because you give the relase command, some dogs who have a high prey drive will go back for another bite which can be dangerous to the "bait person" if he's not expecting it. BTW this "sport" does not make dogs people aggressive. As I have said it is a game to the dogs. Although I've heard of pits and american bulldogs competing in schutzhund, the most common breeds are german shepherds and rotties.

I mean attack like an intent to kill.....yesterday they got into another fight and Riley has a little nick in his ear now :( . I feel awful, this shouldn't be happening to him he's stressed enough as it is.

Oh my god! Words aren't exactally coming to me right now so I'll say good luck. :( I can definately empythise with you as my german shepherd was stolen last year and never found, put I pray that it will be different for you. Like everyone said put up as many flyers as you can on each tree if you can. And go to all nearby shelter and maybe even some farther away to check. I'll cross post on every dog forum I've ever been too it that will help, I pray that she will be returned or somehow will come back on her own. :( :cry: :(

Thanks so much Aroura I'll try it! :D I'm not sure if I should try the food distraction thing though, because she can be food aggressive to other dogs (but never to humans, I can stick my hand in her food bowl, maybe it had something to do with being bottle raised) And i'm afraid that she would see the food and attack Riley to "protect" it from him :-?.

This might be just for unhousebroken puppies, but aren't you supossed to get a crate just big enough for them to stand up and turn around in? But a bigger one might be ok because he's older right? Hmmm I guess this post didn't help at all :roll:

Chaos attacked Riley again :o :( . They all came home wet from their walk and I was drying Chaos off when she just snapped at Riley and he retaliated. Grrr this is getting annoying. I don't want to have to keep them seperate forever. Does anyone have any ideas what I should do?

Thanks courtnek I'll try giving Chaos everything first, although thats pretty much how it worked out anyway, but it seems even after 10 mins of scratching Chaos's belly i can't even touch Riley. I don't think that I'm the main alpha so much as my parents are, but Chaos does act like my dog most of the time. Would Riley automatically become the leader because he is older? He's about a 1 1/2 years and Chaos is 10 months.

As most of you know, I adopted another dog yesterday. At first everything was going fine, and Chaos was in love with him. But.....Yesterday at dinner time just after my mom poured the food, Chaos attacked Riley. He was probably too surpirsed to fight back. My mom grabbed Chaos's front legs and dragged her away. When they went on their walk later, they were fine. They ran and ran and tired each other out.When we got home Riley came up to me I could pet him, and Chaos attacked again. This time Riley fought back but we were able to get them seperated. They were seperated the rest of the night, and in the morning they acted like nothing happened. But later that morning Riley dropped a ball in my lap and Chaos attacked him again. They were seperated for the day, so no incidents. After school when they were both on leash, Chaos snarled a little but no attacking. But, weirdly enough, its only me who can't touch Riley. My parents have no problem. My question is, is Chaos jealous of Riley or just being dominate? And why can everyone but me interact with him?

Seriously? Wow I never knew that, We play with the laser pointer all the time. I think I'll stop if its true :o . it is funny though lucky dosent know it even exists but Chaos loves it. She'll chase it for hours and I know what you mean its so comical. :lol: :lol: :lol:

We got Riley the border collie. he's so sweet! You could tell how much he wanted out of that cage. Chaos is in love. Lucky is not a runner, but now she has someone to run to her hearts content with. I think they'll be great for tiring each other out. Chaos got a little aggressive when she saw that he was coming into "her" house but since he's not a dominate dog they worked it out just fine and now there wrestling by my feet. I feel bad for leaving the others behind though :( , but at least I was able to save one. I'll post pics as soon as my camera decides it likes me again.

Yes. My first dog was a beagle mix named Lil' Bit cause he had a little bit of everything. I grew up with him and loved him so much. He died at the age of 15 when I was 6. My second dog was mostly german shepherd with a little lab. His name was Nicky, and he was my best friend and protector. He died a year after Lil Bit at the age of 12, after only having been with us for 4 years.

Yes, you must buy a camera very very soon! He looks so snuggable! :D
