I was wondering, did you read "Where the Red Fern Grows"? It's all about Red Bones! Well actually a boy and his Red Bones, I cried in the end... Beautiful story...
I read it, and cried at the end too. In fact I just read it a second (or third?) time on vacation last week. I love red bones too, I know someone who has a bedbone/lab mix there so pretty.

Thats pretty much right Lucky: Yours is a very sociable, loving pet who needs to be around other pets and humans. This animal has a gregarious nature, enjoys people, and seems to be more concerned with his/her freedom needs than your wishes or desires. This is a curious, loving pet who's a real 'people' animal. Your pet may appear slow at first, but always manages to get his/her catch. This animal is also very protective of home and family. Your pet is obedient, learns quickly, and can be a bit standoffish. Chance: This is a curious, loving pet who's a real 'people' animal. Your pet is loyal and takes his/her responsibility as a family member very much to heart. Your pet has a real need for adventure and has very little fear, so keep an eye on this one! This is an animal who is quite intelligent and adaptable with a gentle nature. Your pet insists on neat and tidy living quarters. This pet's curious nature may get him/her into a bit of trouble at times. Your pet is certainly never dull. You may find this animal has a dualistic nature being very communicative one minute and sullen the next. EEK! :o This one was so much like Chaos its not funny. Chaos: You have an exceptionally bright pet who is easy to communicate with. You need only say something once, and your pet remembers it. Your pet is loyal and takes his/her responsibility as a family member very much to heart. Your pet has a real need for adventure and has very little fear, so keep an eye on this one! Your pet has a highly developed sixth sense, especially when it comes to home and family. This animal is very tenacious and intensely loyal. Your pet is sexually oriented, clever, and definitely knows how to go after what he/she wants. Poor Chaos dosn't have a middle name.

I'm never asking you guys to help me name a dog again  Your making it even harder!! (kidding)
I picked Holly, as it's a pretty name but not too weird   :D You've got to see yourself calling her by it, I think shouting Serenity in the park might get you a few odd looks  Or is that just me? (says Lisa, with a Sky and a Badger....)
Oh ya I never thought about that, All my other dogs have had nice short 2-syllable names. (Luck-y, Cha-os, Lil-Bit, Nick-y) And I think people will thin I'm slightly weird if I run around yellin Mercy! too. K, I didn't know you had a dog named Storm, I guess it would be like stealing the name so...
-
Thanks for all the names they great, But I cant decide :( sooooo I put a poll, so please vote for your favorite name. Sorry to bother everyone, I know I could go look at all the names people have submitted on dogo, but I don't have the time, so thanks :D

I've been really busy and haven't really had a chance to update. Took doggy to the vet on sunday, She's healthy :D No word from any owners, we've been calling the humane society every day and no one has reported her missing. The vet dosen't think she's spayed, because he can't see/feel and scar. She's REALLY come our of her shell since she's been here, and she follows me like a little shadow. But she's still petrified of strangers especially men. Not sure what were gonna do next week though cause were going to the cottage for two weeks. If we don't find owners we'll probably take her with us. I'm not sure what to name her, any suggestions? I don't want her to gat used tro me calling her 'doggy' all the time.

Oh ok, I thought maybe there were two A towns or something :D
-
I didn't find T-Town, but I found A-Town. Gee, how impressive--NOT. Most dogs looked starved and like they were cross-bred with a lab or something, and there was no uniformity of type, either. Hm. Hey, get this, here are some whopping good choices for kennel names (NOT) and I found them on some ridiculous game dog site: Cut Throat, Hellz Comin, Mass Carnage, Slayer. Wow, let's just perpetuate the bad image of pit bulls, why don't we? Way to go, a**h***s... Just sickening to see how one of God's most loyal and intelligent creatures is being abused and exploited by people all about making a buck and promoting violence. I love how they pose their dogs, too, yanking at the lead, some of them in mid-bark, ribs sticking out and some obviously scarred. Hmm, wonderful specimens. Disgusting that people who do this garbage are allowed to reproduce.
Is this http://atownpits.homestead.com/ the site you were talking about? They actually look like good breeders to me but I'm not an expert.
-
I have it :D I got it for christmas last year, its really fun.

To those of you who feed BARF: 1. Do you just feed the raw meats/vegs or do you use a kibble as a base? just yogurt or cottage cheese for breakfast and raw meat and veggies for dinner. 2. Do you add any grain, (oats, rice, etc)? Once every two weeks they get oatmeal mixed with yogurt for breakfast 3. Do you supplement? Yes, I use kelp, alfalfa, apple cider vinegar and Wysong E.F.A. 4. Do you fast you dogs? Why or why not? No, cause Chaos is only 8 months and it wouldn't be fair to fast Lucky but not her.

There are soo many pits in the toronto humane society right now, so if anyone knows anyone who lives near here and is looking for a dog, maybe you could tell them about these dogs. She's doing pretty good today, and turning out to be really sweet. But no luck on finding any owners :( , we called the humane society and the amimal contol again and no one had reported her missing. Last night she had an accident in the house, I don't know wheither its from trauma or that she's not housebroken. She dosen't seem to know any commands, but it could be that she's just not used to me. We have an appointment with the vet on saturday if we don't find her owners by then, to get her checked out. I think she's a bit more nervous of men then women cause she'll let my mom pet her now, but she shestill acts afraid of my dad. She's also taken to following me around. The only problem is she does NOT like cats, and they don't like her very much either.
-
My dad and I took her to the vet to scan, but there was no microchip :( I not quite sure that she is a stray cause she looks well fed and groomed. I know how it would feel if one of my dogs got lost so I REALLY want to find her owner if she has one. When my parents came home they were like, "Oh, your found a dog, ok" She's finally letting me pet her and she she came into the house, but my parents can't go anywhere near her or she hides. all the animal controls are closed now but my mom's gonna call them tomorrow.
-
Oh and the humane society said the only dog reported missing was a beagle mix, she dosen't really look like a beagle.
-
I just called the humane society here, but I don't know the number of the animal control. I was going to take her to the nearest vet to have her scanned for a microchip.
-
I just managed to get a picture of her, she's sitting on the poarch now which is alot more shady then the yard. She seems submissive to my dogs, but not really scared of them, not like a dog who had never seen other dogs before would be. I'm not sure if I should put up posters or not, maybe she was stolen from her yard by and evil person or something, and someone's looking for her.

I found another dog, thats the second one this year (remember Ike, who now lives happily with my aunt and uncle?) exept that i'm pretty sure that this one was abandoned. i was walking though the park when I saw a dog tied to a tree. She was extremely scared as soon as she saw me, and tried to rum away but obviously she couldn't. i gave her a bit of water, which I always carry for my dogs cause its so hot out, but she wouldn't drink. She did eat the treats I gave her though, One of the other dog walkers that I see every morning helped me get her home. she did walk with out fuss, but she looked so scared. Lucky and Chaos were really good though, they just walked beside me. Now she's outside in the yard because she wouldn't come in the house, no matter what i did. Its not TOO hot today, and I put a huge bowl of water out with her. I can see her through the window and she seems relaxed until she sees me. both my parents have gone to work so I have no clue what there gonna say, but they both love animals so I don't think the'll mind.
I'm in deep doo doo, ain't I?
Yep, I'm gonna have to report you for fighting those vicious poodles!! and all you other people out there who walk your dogs or leave them in the yard, your next!!!
