Jen that story is terrible I guess you have to trust in fate that she will get hers :evil: Marion I agree we have friends in Barnsley ...a couple they have loads of friends and family..but one night she phoned me in floods of tears to say that hubby had been knocked down in a hit and run accident and he was in surgery with head injuries and needed reconstructive surgery to his legs. She was at home with her 2 children on her own !!!! I was so angry..no-one offered to have the kids so that she could be with her husband no-one even came to her house to sit with her !! What's wrong with people !

We've had a few clicker trained dogs at our club and we've never had a problem with other dogs being distracted by them,I say go for it !!

Try not to let it bother you Lemon-dog especially if others are backing the breed. :-? Remember it's only one persons' opinion,and if their child had been bitten by a GSD they may feel like that about them,try not to let it bother you ..I am like you a terrible worrier :roll:

Also I had to have 9 doggy free years before I got Ellie because I was waiting for the time to be right so I know how hard it is to live without a dog when you yearn for one so badly......could you volunteer at the shelter ? It might make you feel better to give something back.

Oh I'm sorry it wasn't meant to sound like an attack I really feel for you it must have been a heartbreaking situation. Many people on here have had to admit defeat in various ways and everyone will have sympathy with you I'm sure :(

I'm sorry that you have had to go through this and it's good that they are in a no kill shelter but it's still very sad :cry: I'm sorry but I can't believe that you are already considering getting another dog :x Nothing has changed has it ?? I would leave it a very long time before you consider getting another dog wait at least until the original problems have been eliminated otherwise you will be doing the same thing again and that would be even sadder :cry:
