This is the only dog board I'm on now but I'm on several horse boards, and they're all pretty much sugar-coated, play nice, talk nice, etc. I love being on a board where you can say what you really mean. I've been pissed off on this board and I've pissed people off. That's life! Everyone has an opinion, and I love being somewhere where we can actually express our opinions! Dogo is da bomb!

I agree with Mutt Lady. No matter what we think about another member, there's no reason for any of us to lower ourselves to calling them names and making rude, derogatory remarks about them. I should know, I did the same thing on another one of DAL's threads when I was defending her and said some rude things about another member, and I got raked over the coals for it. We all have opinions, but there's no reason we can't voice them in a mature manner.

Thanks so much for posting, Babs! I know that none of us at Dogo, and I'm sure nobody at Ripley's, wants to get any website wars going. We all (on both sites) have Naomi's and her pets' welfare and happiness in mind. And I really hope that Naomi feels that she's still welcome here.

I talked to Dawn tonight, and she said that Red has totally made himself at home with her. And he slept next to her cat last night on Dawn's bed. She took Red over to her parents' house and they just absolutely loved him, and Red loved them. They'll babysit Red whenever Dawn has to go out of town (or go out drinking with me). She said that her life is full again. So another success story! Yippee!

What a wonderful story! I wish they all could end that way!

I have to admit that I'm not real good about regularly giving the dogs tooth brushings. I need to get better about that. And they're actually all good about it too. Bad me! They all have good-looking teeth, but I should start brushing them regularly to keep them that way! Good for you for doing that!
