How are you feeling today? It is almost a week. Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you. I was wondering if you feel better or worse now?

Gosh paw paw, I think it might be a little soon :-? To me, it would be like replacing Joe. I don't think I could do it yet.... But again, I agree, everyone does grieve differently. Heavy sigh.... I think I would wait. :(

These ideas remind me of an episode I saw on Good Dog U. A poodle was afraid of thunder storms, and they kind of made "play time" out of "storm time" and it eventually helped. and, yes.... she is the nervous type, but I really wouldn't call her hyper. Thanks everybody :D

Our little rescue puppy Chelsea is afraid of [u]everything[/u]. We have had her since the weekend after Christmas, she is about 5

I'm with my buddy behle, Daisy was hardly affected by it. She was up and around as soon as we brought her back! I think it is all up to the individual doggie. Just have to play it by ear.

Oh, the pain [b]never[/b] goes away does it? So sorry..... We will all meet again one day :cry:

You know I like the idea, Roo. I was also thinking that maybe we should add a spot for grief support. What do you all think? Also, just wanted to let you all know that I got a card in the mail today. It was a sympathy card from my vet :( Was that the sweetest thing or what? :cry:

That is exactly what I was going to ask. I think crate size is a very big factor.

I just want to thank everyone for your kind and caring words of condolence. It seems so surreal. I thought the snow would have kept the vet away, but it was her fate I guess. I really want you to know that you all have been a real comfort to me and I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation. I wasn’t myself last night, and I have had time to reflect and again….. Thank you. [i]One more thing, for those of you who will be facing this situation in the future, please know that the injection (euthanasia) is a very humane, swift and peaceful end.[/i]

I have a lab mix and I feed her about two cups a day, one in the morning and one at dinner time

She is gone. I can't believe it. It was her time. She practically laid donw on the vets blanket to be put to sleep. It happened so fast. I can't believe it . Yeah, that's what I have been thinking too.... just call it off. The Vet is supposed to call to get directions, and she hasn't yet, and it is going on 3:00 :-? Trixie has had her ups and downs this week. Unless the vet can't make it, I think we will proceed with [i]IT[/i]. I think if I call it off, we will just have to go through all of this again and I don't know if we can take it :cry: The waiting has almost been the hardest part.

This is really hard :cry: The closer it gets to Sunday, the more I think about it. I am home alone (except for my doggies) and all I want to do is cry. I am wishing for a lot of snow so the vet can't make it here!! My heart is so very heavy :puppydogeyes:

We are supposed to get sooooooooooo much snow this weekend. Sunday is going to be the heavest! I wonder if poor Trixie will get a reprieve..... maybe it is fate. We will have to wait and see :(

That is scary :o Wonder why he would come to homes with dogs? You would think it would be the opposite?? Glad you are okay. I used to have a dream about being chased by a "bad guy" over and over again. When I got Trixie, the dream stopped!!
