1. Hey, I washed my hair and I'M STILL HOME!!!!
2. I was feeling a little under the weather this morning, so I decided to take the day off from work. I fed the dogs, got everyone out the door and took Daisy and Chelsea back to bed with me. My oldest daughter, opened my bedroom door very slowly to see why I was home and Chelsea started growling and barking!!! She never barks yet and then got scared and ran to my head, which was on my pillow and PEED ON MY HEAD!!!!!!! and, not to mention all over my pillow and bed. It was a new experience for me.... warm and wet all over my HEAD! Maybe I should have gone to work.....
3. I think it's the last suggestion! She is on a very tight schedule and eats hours before bedtime, and I really limit her water. She is about 14-15 weeks old. She was a rescue, and we don't know her exact age. She is making progress, but it is slow. I just thought it was really weird that she goes in her bed. I had heard that puppies/dogs just never did that???? Well, we have all proved that wrong!
4. Yeah, it's amazing that no one else can see a thing, or tell when she has to go out!
5. Well, it's comforting to know that I am not alone. I was beginning to think there was something odd about her. I was up at 4:30 this morning cleaning up the poop!! Nonetheless, I am POOPED!!!   She is just starting to run to the back door when she has to go out. It is a start. I can get her to sit, stay and come (a little), but still no paw??? Oh well, I'd rather the others any way. My house is beginning to smell like a barn :-?
6. I have been crate training Chelsea. She is about 14 -15 weeks old, and she has pooped twice in her bed! At first I divided the crate because it was too big for her, but now I just leave it big. So, if she really has to go, she has room on the other side of her bed. But instead, she just poops in her bed. I thought they were never supposed to do that :-? Any ideas?
7. okay, this is a test: the time is 3:33 PM let's see if they match :-?
8. GMTGreenwich, England: Home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) since 1884 (GMT is sometimes called Greenwich Meridian Time) Now I just have to figure out the time difference from there to the Eastern United States.
9. Can't you make up a bigger batch and freeze some? Put it into single size servings and just thaw as you need? Or mix with the dry to make it go further. Then you would have to make less and it would go further.
10. Bet those flowers smell good  It is a good idea though. I just put a frozen bag-full out for our trashmen!!
11. That future pet site was pretty good, very reasonable :)
12. Whew, those fat cat toys are a little pricey!! I guess if they last that long they are worth it. I just buy the stuffed animals at the pet supply.
13. Soooooo sweet :D Good luck with them!!
14. My neighbor's dog bit my daughter's face when she was about 4 years old. It was a very old dog and my daughter was just saying hello, and got too close to his face. I could have made them put that dog down if I wanted, but didn't. Patty, my daughter had to have surgery and got an infection. But the bottom line is that it is up to the person who got bit. If this guy pushes it, I think you may have a problem. I understood why the dog bit my daughter, and I have had dogs all my life, but who knows about Mr. Pizza. And, I think you're right about him stating his pizza "career" was over. That constitutes damages. He could sue over the lost income. We shall just have to wait and see how litigious he is. Good luck!!
15. I first make her sit, which she seems to have no problem with, but think that it is just natural (like we discussed earlier) then I tap her paw and give the command. I have a treat waiting and the other two behind her are giving me their paw because they want the treat  I say it over and over, I take the paw and saw good paw, and give her the treat. I try again without taking her paw. I have tried with the other two out of the picture and etc..... What am I doing wrong?
16. You know, she does sit, and it seems that she already knew that when we got her. Or, she just watches the others sit and get a treat, but she WILL NOT give me her paw????? I read up a little tonight, and it seems that I should work on sit, lay down, then stay. When she gets that, I should work on the paw thang :) On a different note: This forum has been getting some strange responses lately....... really getting strange!!
17. I was wondering about that one too!!
18. Does anyone know about how old a pup should start learning/getting simple comands like sit, give me your paw and etc? I can't get Chelsea to do anything yet. She is about 14 weeks now.
19. Briar is cute. I like that too.
20. How about Lexie??? I almost called Chelsea that....
21. Adam said, "Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me every day. Now I do not see you anymore. I am lonesome here and it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me." And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourself." And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and he wagged his tail. And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal." And God said, "No problem! Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, "and you will call him DOG." And Dog lived with Adam and was a companion to him and loved him. And Adam was comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail. After a while, it came to pass that Adam's guardian angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam has become filled with pride. He struts and preens like a peacock and he believes he is worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught him that he is loved, but perhaps too well." And the Lord said, "No problem! I will create for him a companion who will be with him forever and who will see him as he is. The companion will remind him of his limitations, so he will know that he is not always worthy of adoration." And God created Cat to be a companion to Adam. And Cat would not obey Adam. And when Adam gazed into Cat's eyes, he was reminded that he was not the supreme being. And Adam learned humility. And God was pleased. And Adam was greatly improved. And Dog was happy. And Cat didn't give a sh*t one way or the other.
22. I agree!! I think they are more for problem dogs. I would never use one, especially on a puppy who is still developing.
23. Oh my God!! They should drag her to jail for that!!
24. When you talk about domination, have far have you taken it? I had to acutally hold Daisy down on the ground to show her that I was the boss. I kind of laid on top of her and held down her head until she gave up trying to get up. Our trainer told me that. She said that is what mother dogs do with their pups. It worked!!! Have you tried that?
25. GLAD YOU'RE HERE. WELCOME! I have only been here a short time and have really learned a lot and laughed a lot too!! This is a great group of dog lovers, and you should fit right in!! I know I feel very much at home here!
