Baileysmom Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 one of the pups (now about 8 wks old) has been throwing up today and is lethargic :cry: they are all goign in to the HS vet this afternoon, but I feel so bad - Ive been so lucky that my dogs rarely ever get sick at all. bongo had that tooth infection, but other than that in his almost 12 yrs Ive only had to take him in for reg checks pretty much...... I feel helpless!! poor thing!! Quote

Horsefeathers! Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Aw, parvo is such an icky thing. It doesn't have to be a death sentence, though. Treated aggressively, it can be overcome. The biggest threat comes from dehydration rather than the virus itself. I'm sure you already know this, but isolate any sick doggers away as much as possible. Parvo can live in the ground for quite a while (years I am told). Good luck and know it isn't your fault. Quote
