I have an aussie. He is a psychotic freak because my dane broke his leg when he was young. He doesn't like being hugged or cuddled and is afraid of outside.

*Pants* I...came...as...fast...as...I...heard.

You all should know that the minute the two words, "Australian Shepherd" are uttered that I am going to be around to comment. I looove Aussies!! I have promised myself over and over that my next breed of dog will for sure be one. They are sooo cute. Me want, me want!!! He he! :P

I really think your Aussie is adorable, Deaf. I bet you two have a great time together!!! I have always wondered what it would be like to own a deaf dog. Was it very hard to train yours? What a cute Aussie you have! I just want to smooch 'em! :lol:

Would you mind if I picked your brain and asked you questions about Aussies? I've been looking for an Aussie owner to question. He he!

Jodi your pup is sooo adorable!! i love the blue merles!! :)

Mutt- Pick away!! hehe thanks Cody goes EVERYWHERE with me! he has a service vest that says I AM DEAF and PLEASE ASK TO PET ME so that people dont just walk up and scare him, people tend to think he's a service dog so i get away with taking him everywhere!

It wasn't that hard with him as i already knew sign language. so once he learned to pay attention ( that was easy, all i needed was FOOD! ) he learned all his commands within a matter of showing them to him 5 times ;

ASK AWAY!!

Here's my contribution to the wonderful world of Aussies. The one in the middle is my only Border Collie Niki. Bozy is on the left and Cody is on the right. Edited cause I can't even spell my dogs name right. :oops:

Yup, that's me. I needed a change from PF so I thought I would join here as well. I'm also a member of the Border Collie boards but they are not as active. Nice to see you again. BTW deaf, where did you adopt your dogs from? I see you are near the base. I'm just east of there in Graham.

Hi everyone,

I have not been here in awhile. Life has been sooooooo busy. Well Bailey is now a little over 8 months old. Even though she is a mini she is on the small end of the scale. She is 14 inches tall and should weigh about 15 pounds, but she is a little piggy and needs to loose a few pounds. She is at about 20 pounds at the moment. She loves her agility classes and is so very smart. I can not wait to be able to compete with her. She is going to be great!!!! I will try to post more pictures soon.

I did a breed selector quiz and it said the Aussie Shep. is 100% the dog for me. You might have someone else to talk to here because I'll be in the market for a second dog soon. I'm thinking either another GSD or a Dutch Shep, Malinois, Lab, Standard Poodle or Aussie Shepherd.
