stacer126 Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 We just bought a Weimaraner and she is the cutest little girl but the problem is that we have no name for her. Does anyone have any suggestions? :D Quote
sheltielover Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 hehehehe....K is right....we need pic's!!!! (even if you already had a name picked out, we would still love to see pic's!) Quote
stacer126 Posted May 16, 2003 Author Posted May 16, 2003 We pick her up soon and I will post a picture but I would like to name her first. She's really cute.... Quote
stacer126 Posted May 16, 2003 Author Posted May 16, 2003 How do you post a picture anyway? Quote
imported_nea Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 What does she look like? Whats her personality like? Quote
LisaLQ Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 Sky's a good name, especially for a blue dog - our Sky is blue and white, hence the name. A good site for dog names is http://www.bowwow.com.au :) Hope it helps, congratulations, and I agree, we must see pics  :D Quote
stacer126 Posted May 20, 2003 Author Posted May 20, 2003 She's a mousey gray colour with big floppy ears. She looks like velvet to me. Quote
Rowie-the-Pooh Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Scarlet? :D Sheba(although it actually suits husky tipe dogs more)? Sugar? I think names with an "S" are good..I have NO idea why! Good Luck! PICS PLEASE! Quote
Guest roo Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 With an S :drinking: How about spirit or siren They are known as the grey ghost after all  Quote
stacer126 Posted May 20, 2003 Author Posted May 20, 2003 Siren sounds cool. We had Denver and Carson as ideas too. My boyfriend is very picky with names! Quote
imported_nea Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 I had a stuffed animal once that was a kinda mousey gray color, and he was named Dusty. For S names, and thinking of Rowie-the-Pooh's suggestion of Sugar, how about Sacarin? (Ok, it is kind of stupid. But I haven't thought of that word in ages! And then suddenly I remembered it!) Quote
Mary's Mama Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Best name I ever heard for a weim was Sterling. Enjoy your pup! Quote
stacer126 Posted May 21, 2003 Author Posted May 21, 2003 I suggested Sterling but my boyfriend didn't like it. He likes Siren and Ripley now but I am sure that will change. I wanted to name her Silvey but I met my new neighbour and as it turns out thats her name. Quote
Carolk9s Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 How about Shimmer? I also like the idea of taking your time in naming her, let her suggest a name to you. Now if she whispers it in your ear, you might call her MoneyTrain! :D Just be patient, let her personality and actions help you decide on her name. Quote
stacer126 Posted May 21, 2003 Author Posted May 21, 2003 I think the decision won't be made until we pick her up. Thanks everyone for the ideas. Quote
stacer126 Posted May 31, 2003 Author Posted May 31, 2003 We finally have a name we both agree on. Our Weimeraner is going to be named Hailee. I chose to spell it differently since the name isn't as unique as I wated it to be but it will be like a Hailee's Comet. Thanks for your help everyone! :klacz: Quote
stacer126 Posted May 31, 2003 Author Posted May 31, 2003 Thank-you. Now all I need to do is post her picture. We are trying to figure out our digital camera and when we do i'll post one. Quote
Angelboddy Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 I have had very weird names for my dogs that i can't even pronouns. But how about: *SKYLER* *SERINITY* Quote
