1. Just stunning!! Can't wait to see pics as he progresses!!!!
2. Right click on the picture and go to properties. Then copy othe URL and paste it in the little address bar. It's a cute pic!!! He's just so sweet......I LOVE cats that want belly rubs. My big male, Ace, likes them....but only by me or my husband.....he's not too keen on anyone else doing it!
3. Keep him on a leash at all times. Even in the house. You call him, he doesn't come, how is that teaching him to come to you? With a leash on, you call him, he doesn't come, now you have the other end of the leash and your reel him in with tons of praise. PoGo is much better when come once we did that.
4. Excellent news!! Thanks for keeping us updated!
5. Dang, K...... And I thought my white shepherd was starting to get brown socks. Guess I have to go wipe him off now..... Poo
6. Oh, HF....you know that we deal with the same issues!! We take Shasta (my parent's Lhasa) to a lot of outdoor functions. Old car shows and the like. Well....typical Lhasa, after about an hour, she's cranky, crabby, and wants to go home. Now she's fine as long as she's not touched by someone who gets in her face. If she wants to go up to someone, that is different. But how many Lhasas do you know that run up to a stranger? Few and far between!! They are such funny dogs, but I could never imagine being without her! Jeremy doesn't understand them at all. They are super smart dogs that EXCELL in obedience but I know it will be years before I can convince him of that! He thinks they are all mean! They are affectionate dogs, just not cuddlers. Maybe to one or two people in their 'family'. But not just anyone gets that privledge! So....I think you did fine with Devin. You know him better then anyone else out there!

8. *HUG* I'll be thinking about you.
9. Why don't you use a "Find the Pit" type game to start off your paper? Show all of the pics and then, at the end of the paper, post the answer.
10. Conjunctiva is the membrane that actucally covers the white part of the eye. The white part by itself is called the sclera. A conjunctival flap is made to help in the healing process by creating a band-aid on the cornea. It does nothing to feed it or give it nutrients. The cornea regenerates by itself. VERY quickly. If there is a healing issue, then you need to get a second opinion. Something is not right. Did they tell you exactacally what she had wrong with her eye?
11.
I have used the citro collars before with one of my dogs. She just barked and winced until she emptied the cartridge (it really doesnt take long) and then went along her merry barking way. LOL.
I know of dogs who have done this. Smart little things..... We end outside time if barking starts. Then, they each go out separatly. And they just think that stinks!! It's a pain for me (we have 4) but if that's how it needs to be, then that's how it will be. The littlest one, of course, is the loudest. He outbarks the German Shepherds any day. And he's much more noisy than the other Chinese Crested. I know they are barky dogs.....but we got spoiled with Tater! He's just so quiet. But not PoGo!!
12. My mom and I took our Scooter to a woman who spoke to animals. All I will say is that it was one of the most comforting and rewarding experience that I have had. If you get the chance and the person is reputable, then go for it.
13. That laid back attitude is such a typical flattie! They are just the silliest dogs!!
14. Oh I"m so sorry to hear this......We'll be thinking about you!
15. The standard calls for 13 - 16 inches at the shoulder. That's really not too big at all. Most of the shelties that we see are giant compared to the breed standard. But if they are much smaller than that....then I don't know what to tell ya!
16. I sure hope things work out for you, Kat. Keep us updated with the very latest info!!
17. I like the Saint Berdoodle. That's a nice one....
18. If I free fed, I would have three fat dogs here (Hunter would do fine on it, but he's the only one!) and I would have poop everywhere!
19. And be careful of your eyes!! I totally abraded myself a few weeks back. I was almost on the phone with the doctor that I work with....but decided against it since it was 10:30 at night. So I just flushed and and started some antibiotic drops. But it SUCKED!
20. I echo everyone! Please keep us updated on what's going on with little Pooh Bear!!
21.
Great story, now i know how to handle a big GSD.
You can bring a balloon into my house and then rob me blind. Hunter is VERY afraid of balloons. And Dakota would still be asleep.
22. Lhasas aren't 'nippy' per say....they will just come out and bite if threatened. Remember, they were bred to be guard dogs. If whoever decided to enter the temple in Tibet and was able to make it past the Tibetan Mastiffs, he'd then have to get by the Lhasas. Ask any groomer, they usually hate to do Lhasas. Horsefeathers has two. She understands! We started grooming our lhasa at about 10 weeks to get her used to it. Now she falls alseep on the grooming table. Our groomer just loves her and says she is the best lhasa she has ever done. Shasta gets groomed every 6 weeks so she needs to be good. She's 8 years old now. But she has such a dislike towards children. Doesn't even want them in the same room as her. They are very different dogs. They are NOT a lap dog. They really aren't a cuddler. They might lay next to you, but they aren't going to seek you out to lay in a lap unless they really know you, and even then, they typically just want to be touching you, not all over you. Very independant dogs. Very regal in their attitude. Must have come down through the original generations who revered by Dali Lamas in Tibet!
