1. Buddy will be in the boarding kennel for the first time in October, for almost a whole week  I don't want him to feel abandoned, especially as he was a pound dog. Are there any special things anyone can suggest doing to make it easier for him? I though about putting him in for a one night trial run, just so he knows I will come back for him ... is this silly?
2. I had a boss like this who would yell at EVERYbody, emplyees and our mothers (practically), all stemming from paranoid weird notions up his ass .. it did appear to be some kind of mental dosorder combined with substance abuse and just zero social skills or self esteem. It took 10 years of being with a woman whom he adores, yet he doesn't even close to deserve, then almost losing her, and this man is still improving with much needed to go. In short HF as you know, you must know it really has nothing to do with you.
3. Buddy's talking ... there is the usual a-roo-roo roo! (excited), and the really special "rare" little words, quiter high pitched gutteral noises that we get out of him usually while camping or biking, I swear he is saying thanks, this is so much fun!
4.
what about fucking or fucked ... or is it just f**k that is blocked?! This is a test :D
AHA... so we have found a fucking flaw in the system. Are we seriously fucked, or can it be fixed?
5. what about fucking or fucked ... or is it just fuck that is blocked?! This is a test :D
6.

Point. The woman has to make an agonizing decision, and you (and others) are ripping into her about past decisions, not helping advise constructively on what is to be done now.
It's a public forum. As CC said and I have said, you post about your life on here, it's open to criticism. Can't handle it? Don't post about it. This may never have happened if some forethought had gone into the decision; you never know. It may not be *especially* helpful top YOU or TX, but CC and I made a valid point that has much more scope than you seem to think. Perhaps it will help someone *else*, lurker or member, think twice about buying a dog totally inappropriate for his or her lifestyle.
I sincerely apologize to you and CC for the homeless people comment. That was way out of line. It's true I do not know the entire history and it's also true she opened herself up to any comment positive or negative, and she can handle it. It just seemed to go beyond my sense of decency to be so critical give the circumstances ... but hey, that is MY sense of decency, not necessarily YOURS or anyone else's.
7.
BM, we have the right to our opinions... as BK always says, its a public forum and when you post here you are opening yourself up to comments, good or bad. I offered my advice if you read my post, but Im sorry, Im not going to simpathize (sp?) with her about something thats her fault. Im sorry for Star, but thats it. I know its hard to go through what she is but maybe she shouldve thought about that before getting anotehr dog.
CC, I never said you didn't have a right to voice any opinions. If you want to offer no sympathy here that is of course your perogative. In my OPINION however that is cold and mean, at this point.
8. Point. The woman has to make an agonizing decision, and you (and others) are ripping into her about past decisions, not helping advise constructively on what is to be done now. (edited to correct one typo)
9. BK and CC ... whay don't you go out and kick some homeless people ... signed, scrappy
10. Dear Tx ... I want to re-extend my condolences for being in such a tough position, and to say, only YOU know what is best, and I for one and many oithers I'm sure, will support whatever you decide. It is your gut level decision. It is tempting to say what you "should" do but that is not our place IMO and I'm sorry if I have done that. It would be different if you were someone who has shown any ignorance or carelessness about your dogs or children, but that is not you! You must alone make your choice in this matter. Good luck and DOG Bless in your decision.
11. Sorry I know it was scary and hectic but I HAD to LOL!!! Sounds like your 3 had a day to remember! :o
12. AAAAAWWWWW!!!! WHat an absolute sweetie!!!
13. Yeah I can NOT even STAND it ... going to report them to HSUS and other orgs, and the FBI. I just have to do the research this weekend. We need to make sure that they are being watched!
14. OK found it ... so accoring to this site and others, 102 is within normal but I would be still worried about the blood / tail abrasion! http://www.dogchow.com/Health/Body_Temperature_for_Dogs.aspx
15.
Well, as far as taking his temp- i have a thermometer and i get his to lay and give him a treat and put it up his rear end. He lays there for me and when I take it out I tell him "OK, We are done!" and give him another treat! He has always been really good on that. I know that a year ago his temp keep on ranging in the 100s to 102s and they said that it could just be his temp- but he has had lower temps lately- But, I am just scared that something is wrong and I am just p***! I will let you all know! Thanks, Jessie
Sorry .. more questions, a human thermometer?! How long do you leave it in? Wouldn't it have to be a special dog thermometer in case it broke? Sorry about all the questions ... I hope she is OK and most of all doesn't interrupt your work too much tonight ...
16. Let us know what the vet says, and good luck! I don't know what normal temp for a dog is and I have never taken a temp ... can anyone tell us, and how to do it? And what temp is considered time to go to emergency? (sigh) Court you're right, where is DO?
17. From their FAQ: I am an outraged activist. Who can I contact? This web site does not adhere to the opinions of activist groups. If you feel you must contact us, make sure that your question/issue/beef whine/gripe/complaint has not already been addressed previously. Likewise, make sure the ludcrious statements you plan to make are based on factual data and not some neo nazi fascist propaganda. (We know you can't read so be prepared to get harped on for it).
18. Baileysmom makes a good point about being able to make her last moment. special, if it comes down to that (which I'm afraid it will :( ) You could probably even have a vet come to your house to do it (have someone else watch the kids of course...) My mom's vet did this for her and it was incredibly peaceful for dog and people alike... Wow this thread is making me cry. You are SOOOO brave.
19.
It's SCRAPPY!
Say that 5 times fast...
20. Wow, we are pure geniuses compared with those people over there, huh? (You excepted CC, you are one of the geniuses!!!) Ooops did I just fire a shot? Didn't mean to, just had to say it...
21. I am so sorry tx. You did the right thing taking the picture and being completely up front with the vet. Her recommendation is very, very painful. Is the health problem a factor in the PTS recommendation? Wondering how serious it is... You could also go to another vet and/or behaviorist for second opinions but I'm afraid they's tell you the same thing...
22. WHOA!!! Now help educate me ... I do believe "parish" is equivalent to "town" or "village" there, right??!! Of course I started thinking "congragation" as in a church membership :o
23.

ok "fuzz" trivia....without CHEATING and looking it up, who can tell me where the word COP originally came from? 8)
Citizens On Patrol, of course! You know, from one of the Police Academy movies! Do I win?? :D
I think HF wins!!! (right??) Unless it is ... Cranky Old Poop-heads ....
24.
Buddy, we cant save them all. yes, maybe you should have stopped, and maybe not....a four lane highway with a curve is dangerous to stop on. I understand how you feel, but if something bad happens to you, who will take your place, and your love of animals, and do the good you do now? we all make mistakes. if we're smart, we learn from them. dont be hard on yourself......I am really glad puppers is ok. 8)
Thank you (sniif!!) what a very nice thing to say. I am still thanking dog Lucy is OK!
