the vet i worked for put down the dogs as poodle mixes this one lady came in with her "cocakpoo" and when asked what breed she demanded they put down cockapoo, the vet was like "poodle mix it is then" :lol: :lol:

I bought a treat ball and Eli loooooooooooooooves it. the rest of em cant figure it out :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I think it's a disaster waiting to happen a puppy and a baby at the same time is never a good idea, both of them need around the clock care, they need to be watched at all times, the puppy will have to be potty trained and leash trained and socialized, etc. and you cant really properly do all that with a newborn baby. i'd advise against it.....if she really wants a dog, perhaps going with a adult dog that is already house and leashe trained and all that good stuff and has been around children....

give them cough syrup, thats what i did when mine got it a lil while ago, 1 teaspoon a day

some doog foods are Timberwolf, Merrick, Wyson, Wellness, Canidae, Pinacle(sp?), Chicken soup for the dog lover's soul, etc. i think the only decent brand that petsmart carries is their brand called Authority most dog foods have a website and a store locator so maybe you can find a store in your area that carries a good food the type of places you are going to find quality dog food are feed stores, "mom and pop" pet stores, and even tractor supply stores i feed 2 of my dogs the chicken soup for the dog lover's soul and my other 5 dogs eat Diamond Lamb and Rice and i get both of them at the local tractor supply store our local feed store also carries both of those foods and they carry premium edge wich is a good middle of the line food

when will people stop with trying to create a billion different bulldogs???? they all need to stick to one, it's getting a little rediculous

i was at wal-mart picking up a couple things and i met my friend while i was checking out... conversation goes her: what...no dog food? (she knows i have alot of dogs) me: haha NO i dont feed my dogs that crap..it's like poison..the stuff here is full of by products and corn and fillers and probably dead animals her: then where do you get yours at me: Big R her: oh do they have better food? me: yup her: does it cost alot more? me: no not really, i feed the chicken soup cat food and it's the same price as the purina and crap here her: hmmm well then i guess i'll be buying my food at Big R from now on :D she only has cats so thats why i told her about the price of cat food made me pretty happy that she didnt try and argue or whatever like most people do when you suggest a better food :)

Enroll her into obediance classes as soon as she is old enough(check with your local trainers to see what the age requirement age is..i think it's something like 16 weeks) Never encourage any biting behaviour, that's how you get a nasty mean lil dog, and of course never hit the dog. most small dogs end up nasty because their owners think it's oh so cute and funny when they bark and snap at people :roll: that feeding schedule sounds fine to me, i always fed my puppies twice a day, it's really a matter of perference but with a small dog, 3 meals is probably best since their lil tummys can only hold so much :) good luck!

from what i have read, pseudo eclampsia is prevent by giving a calcium suppliment DURING AND AFTER birth. and giving a calcium supliment before can make it worse considering i dont know what you did, i'm just telling you what i read... everything i have read says that by giving a calcium suppliment during and after birth can prevent it, if the bitch does come down with pseudo eclampsia, giving a calcium shot brings her back to normal.
