1. i like that board. yea you're going to have your idiots who dont know jack and you just wanna slap em in the face, but i just ignore them :D i've learned the hard way that it's best to just ignore the jack ass idiots and go on about your ways.
2. Welcome :D I love american bulldogs :D I think my Eli is half american bulldog half pit bull...but i dunno..he was from a BYB
3.
HF, thats REALLY what p*** me off. I absolutely HATE it when people judge me by my age. :x Im sure if I had lied about my age, she would have never known I was 15.
exactly, if you dont tell peole you're age then they assume you are an adult, but when you tell them your age they automatically stereotype you to be a snotty uneducated mouthy ass teenager. people suck
4. I've stopped a piced up a few dogs....2 samoyeds who's owners lost them when they were moving..a black lab mix who escaped from his yard...and a beagle mix that was dumped in the country..i transported her to a rescue in chicago and she got adopted by a really great family. i dunno...all i know is if my dog got loose i sure hope someone would pick them up... dont beat yourself up though...just be happy they did find her :)
5. 1 for the adult find, 1 for the puppy find :D how does the color book thing work :-?
6. yes its fine. my dogs are allowed on the furniture, as soon as a human walks towards that piece of furniture, the dogs get up  even if the human isnt planning on sitting down, the dogs know that they have to get up
7. it could have been a money thing with Eli and Ozzy, i dont know since I wasnt there. I do know that my sister and her boyfriend caught it quickly and that ozzy and eli never got terribly sick, so maybe that is why? I do remember that whenever a pup/dog came in with parvo at the vet office i use to work at, the dogs were put on IV and quarantined.....one family did take their dog home along with the IV because they couldnt afford to have the dog stay there...but the dog was given IV and the family was shown how to give the IV
8. no it wasnt money at all if I remember correctly, i wasnt even the one to pay for it, my sister and her boyfriend did cause back then was when they owned Ozzy and Eli
9. I dunno. I know when Ozzy and Barkley got Parvo they were not put on IV, they were given some shots and sent home with some fluid stuff and they both pulled through very quickly
10. at least that poster or whatever it is, sends out a good message without being extreme or crazy :-? i hate PETA too though
11. she's testing you. she didnt want to give up the bone so she growled to see if she could bully you into letting her keep it or if you were going to be alpha and take it away. good for you for making her drop it :D
12. thats great to hear she's doing alot better :D i want pics! I want pics! I want pics!
13. about the bullboxer thing, i dont think what most people are ticked off about are the people trying to recreate something, i think it's more the people who breed a pit bull and a boxer together, call it a bullboxer and sell it for money. i personally dont think that guy is going to be able to recreate a breed like that from the 1700's by cross breeding a few of today's breeds... :-? i cant say i'm against breed re-creating though if it serves a purpose...
14. the cream spots are seen on Great pyrenees she certainly doesnt look purebred great pyr, she's probably mixed with samoyed like you said
15. FREE: Alaskan Malamute, male, 6-years old., AKC registered, great for breeding or for single person
16.
Serriously I was not excpecting a lab. I wasn't stereotypeing at all, just useing a breed as an example. I have a GSD, so I know they're not aggressive.
thats still stereotyping....you stereotype that labs wouldnt be agressive and stereotype that some other large mastiff dog or whatever would be. maybe you dont mean to but that's still stereotyping but most people stereotype without even realizing they are doing so. your story reminds me that i need to get Eli a muzzle though for whenever he has to go to the vet :)
17. they sure are impressive dogs :iloveyou: http://californiacanecorso.com/
18.

a cane corso looks much more like a pit bull than a bulldog does. either way you're going to have people calling your dog a pit bull because the JQ public is a bunch of morons :D and OMG look at this cutie..a bit far from you  but he's gorgeous! http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=3779014&adTarget=&SessionID=42f7757f05126bca-app1&display=&preview=1&row=0&tmpl=&stat=
You think so? I guess that just shows how opinions differ. i think they look basically mastiff-ish, especially with uncropped ears. You're right though, that most uneducated people wouldn't be able able to tell the difference with either breed, I figured that someone who is a little less undeucated would be able to differentiate Corso from Pits.
yes with uncropped ears they do look more mastiff-ish but lets not forget that any dog of medium-large size with a short coat and big head is a pit bull  like the 2 bullmastiffs who attacked a kid..they were pit bulls when the story was published
19.
Mei-Mei, I went with Corsos for a few reasons, one of them being the shedding factor. We had our list of possiblities down to Corsos, American Bulldogs, and Rotties. I eventually ruled out Rotts due to the commonality factor and the problems associated with a popular breed. We finally ruled out Bulldogs because (and I hate to admit this) I don't won't to deal with any of the stigmas associated with a Pitbull look-alike.
a cane corso looks much more like a pit bull than a bulldog does. either way you're going to have people calling your dog a pit bull because the JQ public is a bunch of morons :D and OMG look at this cutie..a bit far from you  but he's gorgeous! 20. what are the probiotics for? what do they help?
21. well find out what she does like and then crush the cranberry pills up and put it in that......like if she likes yogurt or eggs or whatever
22. if she keeps getting them then she needs to be put on a Cranberry suppliment :) you can get cranberry pills at basically any place that sells pills  like wal-mart or kroger or whatever. i dont know how much she weighs but i'm guessing around 50lbs? give her 3-4 pills, even if she only weighs 30lbs you can still give her 3-4 pills, the cranberry cant hurt her :D shadow and maggie got UTI's and i didnt even give the anti-biotics, i just gave them 1/8 cup of cranberry juice(the REAL stuff) and 4-5 pills a day with their food for about a week or two and their UTI's cleared right up :D i dont recommend everyone that has a dog with a UTI to not give antibiotics..just stating what worked for me :D if your dog is a really picky eater than i wouldnt recommend the juice because it tastes bad, just give her the pills. but even shadow is rather finicky about her food but she loves food so she gobbled it right up  enough rambling  i seem to be doing that lately  edited to add: i forgot to mention that the cranberry juice has to be REAL 100% cranberry, you can get it at a health food store :D do NOT give any cranberry juice like ocean spray or whatever other brand, it's not real cranberry and it has way to much sugar. the real cranberry juice is about $8 a bottle but one bottled lasted me about 2 1/2 weeks between 3 dogs :)
23.
AAP: go here http://www.tdi-dog.org/ You can look up testing dates and locations according to state. I forgot where in IL you said you lived but if you go to upcoming tests there are several in IL.
awesome! thank you :D
24. thats cool :D what organization did you go thru? i'm thinking Sheeba might be a lil too hyper for it, she gets so excited for treats so she turns into a big wiggle machine whenever i try and do OB with her  ozzy has great OB but he's a lil shy. i think Shadow is my best bet, she's pretty good with OB and she loooooooves to get petted...so she might just make a good therapy dog well i have 5 dogs to work with  so i'm sure i can make something out of one of them ROFL
