Ooohh, very pretty. Good luck with her and in finding her a good home.

We currently have two dogs (Trixie was put down in February, she was a Sheltie mix) Daisy: Chocolate Lab 3 1/2 yrs. old - love of my life - got from a friend/co-worker at 8 wks. Chelsea: Black lab/GR or Lab/Border Collie Mix - We don't know, she was a rescue. We drove over 3 hours for her and the rescue never saw the father and only got a quick look at mom  She is a nut.... not sure of her age, but think she will be a year in late Sept. or Oct. Would love a yellow lab so I can have one of each color

Dominance again :x What is with this dog? She knows better than to do that to me!!! I have really trying to demote her!!! I make her wait for food, she is fed after Daisy and I make them both sit for their food first.... UGH - she is a lot of work....... but very sweet and cute and soft and cuddley and...... Oh well, you get it!

I have believed in the phenomenon of reincarnation for many years. A great book to read is The Reincarnation of Peter Proud. I used to think that I grew up in colonial times and this is my second life. (not seriously, and mostly after reading that book  ) That was a sweet story. I agree, the outcome either way is great for the man who lost his dog....

Thanks  I have done it myself a few times when the family has taken vacations together.

HELP!!! Drivers licence vs. my puppy! I can't choose!!!!
Daisysmom replied to Crested's topic in Everything about dogs
Good luck Crested!! A driver's license gives you so much freedom!! -
My daughter told me that Chelsea humped her yesterday :o SHE IS FIXED, AND A FEMALE :o She said she picked her up and she humped on her chest :-? This is too weird!!! Does this happen often, and how do I prevent it from happening again. Chelsea is already on our weirdest dog list, this just adds to it

Cortnet post the link, or e-mail the picture, and one of us, usually Mouse!! can put it up for you :D

Can't you hire a local teen to come in? They work a lot cheaper

You can go to: www.friendsofanimals.org for a reduced cost in your area.

Chelsea sleeps under my bed like that too  Daisy has the worst gas, especially after rawhide :o We gag and wave the throw pillows in the air and she knows right away to get up and walk away!! :scared:

Did you have a copywrite on your picture?

A picture is worth a thousand words.... really hard to tell from a discription. Although, I think the BCs do have the mane on the chest.

I have to go on my soapbox for a minute. This person asked for help, and not a lecture. I understand how we all feel, myself included, about the overpopulation of dogs, but this person may not be as educated as we are, and may not have known when to expect this situation..... I just think that sometimes we are to fast to jump on questions like this. I don't mean to step on any toes, but just expressing my opinion. Cassie, I know you gave info, but that looks like a textbook answer, and I think it may be too much for some people. Again, don't mean to be mean, just an observation.

I say rottie and golden retriever too.
-
Pet stores sell special drops to put in the dogs food. I just saw it the other day. Chelsea eats Daisy's poo too :o and I was looking for something for her. I just have to rush out to the yard and clean it up right away so Chelsea can't get to it. It is such a pain in the Jack

Poodles, Silky Terriers, Chinese Crested...... any dog with hair instead of fur.

Rowie, I'm so sorry to hear about everything you have been through. The vet you were talking about sounds really primative to me. She gave you medication without labels????? I have never heard of that  Maybe you should call someone about her credentials.......... report her! :x Maybe she is a fake :o

My favorite is a lab, no question about it. But, one day I would love a rottie!! I also want a yellow lab (right now!)
then they crawl up branches or bushes and your unsuspecting dog (or even human) walks by they sense the warmth and fall onto the host...
We have had a problem with ticks too :x We took the dogs to a nature preserve and they and WE came back with ticks!!!!!!! and we were only there for a short time. They are very, very bad this year!!! I took them to the groomers for a flea/tick bath and the next day or so after taking them for a walk around here, Daisy came back with another!!! We have found a few on them after the bath :-? I think they are in our yard too, and my hubby has put down a pesticide!! We will have to be very diligent it keeping them away and checking them! Good luck!!!
