1. Mei-Mei do you know if the buyers of these mixed breeds could take the breeder to small claims with a hope of debunking these "breeds/breeders"? i believe WI and IL are drafting laws against these types of misrepresentations (see law library of congress)
2. No i'm serious. Why can't i find any legal recourse for this type of fraud. just so you guys know i'm a legal studies major and so far i can't find anything on the books (federal laws) concerning this con. It is clearly a scam to charge people alot of money for someting it isn't! if a was a jeweler selling cubic zirconia as a diamond, i'd go to jail and be fined. If i sold some one an intrest in the brooklyn bridge i would be brought before the court ASAP. I would imagine that these people buying a dog that they think is a real purebred could take the breeders to small claims court and get their money back and keep the dog on the sole reason of misrepresentation and violation of trust. the trust part comes in because the buyers are not breeders nor are they even active in any dog registry, therefore they are TRUSTING the breeder to be telling the TRUTH.
3.
I feel the need to be a big bad vicious nippy parsons russell terrier at the moment!
never seen one of those is that a new breed? :) (Re: to the big bad vicious parsons russel)
4. Okay i've been home all this week due to a death in the family and my daughter being sick. I'm a nosey person always looking out my window checkin out whats going on, mentally timing @ what time i heard a gun shot(just in case it wasn't a hunter in the woods when the cops start canvesing the area.) any this week i found one wandering puppy that belongs to the kid down the street. brought him home. and then today this guy knocks on my door w/ another pup asking if i knew where his home was. The people around here know i may not know the owner but i know the dog. they are better company anyway. brought Rusty home asap w/ a new to him collar, lecters old one. alot of the kids around here don't come from money and some from single parent homes. i told them that i'd help them in training the dogs a couple of hours every week. one pup is a cute little lab/pit, so sweet and timid. the other is a mixed brindle gsd, i say he's mixed cause i don't think gsd come in brindle and the kid wasn't sure cause the pup was a give away. but this one is mean. So my question is what is a good book for kids that i can buy for them to help them understand and train their respective dogs? I dont want to spend too much cash but i will if need be. anyother resouces i can get for them besides buying the books and name tags. Free stuff links would help too.
5. I agree Mei. where were the parents?????? Common sense is never let someone who can't defend themselves alone w/ a dog no matter what.we al know that "common sense" is not so common. whats done is done and you can't change that. I love lecter and my daughter but god forbid if anything every happened to her, i'd put him down. it would break me heart but i'd have to and i'd feel guilty everyday of my life that I LET IT happen.
6. the best threat is to questions peoples intelligence, in the nicest way possble. people seem to get more pissed off when you act nice and condocending (sp?) @ the same time. but i agree with ali the only way to get a point across is by discussion. but accept the fact no matter what you say you can't change their minds.
7. That was me who said ariedale somehow got logged out. or maybe a standard or giant schnauzer.
8. as i always say "don't fix the blame, fix the problem" and i think any dog that attacks any human should be pts. Don't misunderstand me. I'm not talking about nips, growls or other misc signs that mean stay away. I;m talking about going for the throat, i'm gonna take you down attack. must be put down. i say this because most owners and the general public don't have the time, resources, or ideas on how to resocialize the dog. or if it would even work. If this dog was a big breed, i doubt anyone would stick up for it's life and the child would be dead.
9. Hey K. Just wondering but what kinda dog are you? i'm guessing something really good @ guarding
10. I'm A Chihuahua. Not what i expected but it fits. Who knew?
11. Lecter scores Your dog's drives Prey = 35 Pack = 85 Defense - Fight = 40 Defense - Flight = 5 I'm not sure how accurate this is though it says a dog w/ high pack needs little training   and dosen't chew hah! my dog needs a hearing aid then cause he doesn't pay attention. just looks at me like (insert doggy voice) "are you sure ya want me to lay down ma?, ya you said it 3x but are you realllly suuuurrrreee." plus he's not a fighter. don't get me wrong some might say he's game (in the couragous way, not that other way) but i can't see him as the alpha male. Maybe i should take off my rose colored glasses.
12. how big are your stairs?could you try going down the stairs first with out her falling over. could be she's just not ready. does she want to follow you? (by sitting @ the bottom and whining) or when you go all the way up does she just leave to do her own thing?
13. Not familar w/ the breed. Aren't they one of the new mixes looking to be accepted into the ukc?
14. Wait till you guys see this!!!!!! http://poosrus.net This is f***in mind blowing.First Gen. pure bred Labrapoodles (sp?) are selling over $1000. Schnoodles and cockapoos and labrapoodles. give me a break.their "breeding stock is @ least 7 males and 19 females of various possibly pure breeds. Does any one know how they get away w/ this????? I mean this is a scam! people are being taken advantage of!!!! this can not be legal.
15. I was doing so good like 3 days w/o    like a baby.

17. yeah your right all ceramic and such type bowls, plates, ect that are approved for USE are lead free. Decorative ones have a lead based paint they use that can withstand the high firing temp or style of firing used.
18. Not only have i removed my animals various stiches i've even been know to remove my own. if you wait till monday everything should be fine. the worst that could happen from waiting 3weeks is some of the new skin may have adhered to the stich, so the scaring MIGHT be a little worse but not much.
19. HF is your penny a rescue? i swear i saw a dog just like her on a NC rescue page.
20. NAME: Lecter BREED: mostly black pit bull terrier AGE: Guessing alittle over a year LIKES: 3Liter soda bottles & bully sticks DISLIKES: Rain, not being the center of attention, and not being able to run wild like the neighbors dogs. Coming soon pictures!!! once i'm allowed to set up the scanner we got for x-mas.
21. Yes i too am wondering how many of a claimed pit attacks were really done by a pit. the only places i know of to keep records of that is some hospitals in america. even then they just take the injured or bystanders word on the breed.
22. another brush off letter. maybe i should change my name to john. Thank you for contacting my office regarding A2906. I truly value your opinion and thank you for taking an active role in government. Sincerely, Assemblyman Douglas H. Fisher [email protected]
23. As times change, dogs as well as peoples rolls change. yeah if you look @ human history at one time we were nomadic hunter and gatheres, but we were still humans. so even though our dogs don't do what they did 100 or 1000 years ago, i see them as the same breed today. just directed by us to serve our new purpose for them. but i also believe that it would not take much time or training to get some breeds to go back to what we bred them to do in the first place. not sure if i understood your question Deep, but thats my answer to it.
24. This is funny and I don't know if you have seen it before or not. It is how you test for a pit bull. Breed specific legislation continues to be a method that legislators choose To control the perceived problems of dangerous or vicious dogs in their communities. Dogs rights groups often speak out Against this type of Legislation, saying it's unfair to target specific breeds or types of dogs, and that breed identification is too difficult. There is no genetic test to determine a breed of dog, and dogs are so diverse, it's really hard to tell by looking at them what breed they are. At least it was until now. A new test has been developed and is being promoted by P.I.T.A (People >Interested in Terrorist Agendas for Pain in the Ass >Dogs) . Our anonymous >tipster for this organization gave us the complete test, which is outlined >below. According to our source, this is the most accurate method known, and >is nearly fool-proof for determining if a dog has any pit-bull blood in >them. Test 1- Keep the suspected pit bull dogs in another room of your average home. Wait until they are asleep. The evaluator, in the formal living room of the home, will take an expensive, small-sized throw pillow from the sofa, and toss it into the middle of the floor. Within two minutes, a pit bull type dog will appear, and will circle and mash the pillow with its feet. Grunting noises of satisfaction in making the pillow just so may occur the more full-blooded the dog is. The dog will then lie down on the pillow, trying to make itself as small as possible, so that it fits as much of its body on the pillow as possible. A snort or whiffle of contentment is a definite sign that it's a bull breed you're dealing with. Test 2- Confine the suspected pit bull dogs in another room. This test will take place in the master bedroom of an average home. You need a queen or king sized bed, immaculately made up. Place a small, fresh out of the dryer personal garment, such as a sock or underwear on the edge of a corner of the bed. Within two minutes a bull breed will show up, jump up on the bed and lay down on the item. Test 3- This test takes place in the bathroom of an average home. The evaluator will enter the bathroom, closing the door firmly butnotcompletely. As soon as the evaluator sits down on the john, a bull breed will smoosh the door open with their face and come on in. They will stare at you pointedly as you go about your business. Some will lurk behind the door, with one eyeball staring at you in a disconcerting way (assuming the >evaluator is shy). Test 4- The evaluator will sit on a sofa or chair. The suspected pit bull will be placed across the room. The evaluator will hold their hand, all fingers facing forward, palm down, and reach out toward the dog. As they reach, they will rotate their hand about 30 degrees from left to right (like the queens wave, only facing the ground). A proper bull breed will immediately understand that this is the universal, non-verbal signal for petting, and will proceed to cross the room, and place their big, fat head under your hand. Grinning by the dog or evaluator is optional. Leaning on the evaluator or trying to ooze into their lap is a sure sign that it's a bull breed. Test 5- The evaluator will allow the dog to lick his or her face. If the dog tries to lick the inside of your eyeball, ear, or nostril, it's a bull breed. > > Test 6- This test will take place in a spacious area. The evaluator will wait until the suspected bull breed is lounging comfortably on a sofa or bed, and appears disinterested in the evaluator. The evaluator will casually sit on the floor, and begin to either do excercise type stretches or attempt to use their 'Ab- Roller". A true bull breed will ooze off the sofa, and come and stand on your hair, or stick their very cold nose into your eye, or lay down on you, thus negating the exercise you were going to do, in favor of petting the dog. > > Remember, this test has been developed to allow law enforcement and the justice system to fairly and accurately determine which dogs should be unfairly punished for being the breed that they are. This six step test is an ideal way to address these issues in your community- be sure to ask for it! I'D GIVE CREDIT TO THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR BUT HE/SHE IS UNKNOWN TO ME.
