Ok, its been long enough, I thought it was about time (now I've got a computer that I can use my camera software on!) that I posted some photos... this lot of photos goes as far back as Lily's last day  right up until a few days ago

Here you go, there are a few, and they are probably big, but I haven't worked out how to down size the photos yet!

This is the one that makes me cry the most, it was Lily's last day and she just looked at me so trusting, so loving... poor sweetheart

This is one I might get framed, they are just so gorgeous together!

Diego with myself, my brother and my sister, at his first show!!! He got best puppy of breed, but he was the only whippet pup there so I'm not sure if that counts or not

Diego's beauty shot, he's so gorgeous here. It was in colour, but I was fiddling with it in iPhoto and couldn't get it back again! I like it this way anyway, but I think I should read the instructions manual

This is the view from my front varanda, lovely isn't it? The dogs love it out here :D

Liz, Montie loved Lily, they were great together, Lily was always so gentle with Montie, he was the only dog she would never hurt, even when she was eating. I feel so bad to have taken that away from Montie.

How are they getting along??? Well thats very complicated!!! For starters, Montie has very frequent mood swings, he'll be playing with Diego one second, squeeling and attacking him the next (its actually quite funny to see!). Diego's a pain too, I can't walk them together because if I let Diego off he bowls them both over, and it hurts! He's reaching about 45km's now, getting faster each week. He was after Montie the other day and I put my hand out so he didn't run straight over him... well he hit my hand and it HURT!!!! So I take them on seperate walks now

Cassie doesn't really get along well with him, she's not as young and playful as Montie, but sometimes I think she WANTS to play with him, but she's so sensitive and he just hurts her, so that doesn't happen much. None of them ever "fight" with each other, the little ones will let Diego know if they've had enough though. Diego wouldn't know what food aggression is either, he's so intent on sharing his food with everyone that I have to sit with them at meal times and make sure Cassie and Montie don't eat Diego's food - he'll actually take it to them and drop it at their feet!

No, I don't have any photos of them together, but I guess I could get a nice one after they've all had baths! They are very grubby little dogs at the moment, I've been working for the past week and they've been staying with Josh's mum in a dog run, playing with four other grubby pups in their "free" time, and running around on the dusty road on walks, considering they look reasonably good, but they could do with a scrub

Adorable pictures. Your new little one is definitely the apple of his mommy's eye I'm guessing. ;) Where did this pup come from, Aroura? I never heard you planning to get him or talking about him. Am I just not observant or was this kind of a suprise? Congratulations, by the way!

My favorite photo is where Josh is with Diego. There is nothing more gorgeous than a guy who loves animals and shows them affection. This one's a keeper!
Awwwww Steph I think he's a bit old for you dear!
Yeah, about six years too old for her ESSlover. He is my age. Now wouldn't that be scary? Just ignore Steph and her boy crazy ways.
Oh they are just precious! Love Diego...he's gorgeous. And the girls are adorable...I just want to reach out and hug 'em. Thanks for the pix!
Montie is a boy...
He does make you want to hug him though, don't he???

Mutt_Lady, Diego is certainly a sweetheart, and I love him to bits and would do anything for him, but I have to tell ya, Montie still sneaks in at being the biggest apple of my eye, I always say if I won the lotto I'd clone him, I know that all dogs are special and irriplacable, but I honestly couldn't imagine life without Montie, he's such a special little thing!
I did plan for a while to get him, and I did talk about it a lot here! I was going mental, I'd planned to get him before he was even born! It seemed like an eternity until he was born, then another before he was ready to come home with me. And as for Josh, he's hopeless   Before he left for Tasmania he'd come home, Diego would get a hug before me, and when we were both out and got home Diego had the biggest cuddle sandwich, everyone else thought it was riddiculous. It was Josh's idea too, for Diego to sleep in the bed with us, I remember one time we stayed at my sisters and had to share a single bed, sure enough, Diego was squished in there between us

BK, I'll have to do regular pic posts in that case, we can't have anyone forgetting how cute Montie and Cassie are!!! :o

Sorry stephy, he doesn't have access to a computer!

Diego's a whippet, ain't he a cutie?

Dogpaddle, yes, I'm sure everyones dogs would love it out here... but mine got here first! :P

Its great, they can really stretch their legs, Diego particulary loves it, he zooms through the grass at a million miles an hour - I knew he was going to be fast, but I never realised he'd be quite so fast at such a young age! I've had to be carefull with him, you know how dogs like great danes grow so fast and get so big so quickly they don't know what to do? Well Diego's the same with his speed, at 3 months he was running about 40km and always bumped his legs and got hurt. He's a bit more clever now, but I'm still worried about him. I have a bad feeling he's done something to one of his legs, nothing serious at all, just enough that when I stand him for show one of his hind legs turns in slightly, probably nothing anyone else would notice, it seems to be getting a bit stronger now though, I'm just carefull of not walking him too far. I wouldn't have walked him at all until 6 months, except that after a puppy is out of its baby puppy stage it looses the instincts to follow people, which would have made it impossible to ever catch him if he got out. I'm actually pretty proud of myself, every whippet owner I've ever talked to have told me to never EVER let him off lead until they're at least 18 months old, but because I took advantage of his following instincts at a really young age (from 9wks) I've got him to the point where running TOWARDS me is more fun then running AWAY from me. Its so funny, he was after some birds one when I yelled out "Diego, COME", and mid chase he turned around and came running back twice as fast as he was running away! Because he is so great at that I don't think I'll ever change my training technique with pups again, it works a treat

Thanks Stephy

Diego's grandmother was put to sleep the other day. She was apparently running around the yard so fast that when she ran into the fence she broke her neck. She was a grand champion, absolutely stunning. When I got Diego the breeders showed me how to show with her, they even put make up on her because she was going grey! Poor thing, hearing that news has really shocked me. Thats the problem with having a dog thats so fast, I hope nothing like that ever happens to Diego :(

My brother lives in a caravan park, I live out of town, on my own at the mo, my boyfriends due back in December :D
