Crested
http://www.local6.com/news/2780054/detail.html "Tiny Tim is still a puppy but his owner Mandy Marks said he has not grown since he was 4 weeks old. At four inches tall at the shoulder, he is the smallest dog on record -- a title currently held by a Yorkshire terrier named Whitney, who's a half-inch taller, according to a report. Tiny Tim is four inches from nose to tail and weighs just over a pound. His size means that Marks has to be careful with him when guests are around, while she herself has been forced to change how she walks at home. "I tend to slide my feet across the floor, so if I did step on him, I'd only push him to the side," Marks said. Marks is used to small dogs. Tiny Tim's mother, a Chihuahua, named Sparkles, and his father, a Shih Tzu, named Patch, are no giants either, but Tiny Tim is by far the smallest she has raised. Guest Anonymous
Cute little thing! :D Not sure if I could handle him though. I'm used to big dogs. But oh my goodness what a cute little (and I do mean little) dog!

imported_Kat
Funnily I was wondering about what age he was as well!
courtnek
he's definitely cute, but he'd never make it in my house. My kid and his friends trip over/walk over/stumble into the 61 lb foxhound and the 75 lb lab on a regular basis...My cat is bigger than he is, and ill-tempered enough to take him on.... cute though... :)

Crested
I have no idea. Somebody said that Tiny-Tim is 10 weeks and some say he's 6 months... Your guess is as good as mine!
Daisysmom
Oh, he is very cute. I think one of my doggies might think it was a wild bunny and mistake it for a snack............ Ugh... I'll never forget that time Daisy ate that poor little bunny :( Sometimes I wish my dogs were that size!!! Especially when I'm cleaning the yard :o

courtnek
that reminds me of the allergy commercial with the lady with the Papillion, put him in her purse and took him to the park...this one you could drop in a pocket... I saw a lady sneak a very small dog on a plane in her purse...he was quiet til the plane took off...then his ears (like everyone elses) started to pop and he whined...the flight attendants were NOT happy...but once we were airborn he was fine, and everyone wanted to see and pet him... :D
Rowie-the-Pooh
 Couldn't resist! What a cutie-pie! :iloveyou: He would never survive at my house, though. :-? Our house is so big, and is full of little crooks and crannys (or whatever you call 'em) and our garden is full of bushes and the grass is pretty long is some places. Plus the fact that Rowie would probably kill him by mistake. :o He is all furry like a chew toy! One thing about the article that annoyed me:
Marks is used to small dogs. Tiny Tim's mother, a Chihuahua, named Sparkles, and his father, a Shih Tzu, named Patch, are no giants either, but Tiny Tim is by far the smallest she has raised.
Unwanted breeding? Or to teach the kids about the birds and the bees? Or maybe the search for a new breed again? :x Don't you guys find this a bit fishy? dogsgalore
What a little cutie! :D I wouldn't want a dog that small though. :)
imported_nea
He is cute. But way to small, I think Web is too small and he must be about 50 times bigger than that puppy. :-? I wonder why he stopped growing at 4 weeks age? I knew a cat once who's growth was stunted because he had been abandoned by his mother outside when the kittens were young. He was the only one alive when he was found. I'm not sure how old he was but never got bigger... I think he was about the same size of that dog. :)
