mydogroxy Posted August 24, 2003 Posted August 24, 2003 in the never ending search for a kibble roxy will do well on AND like, we special ordered abady allstar from a local feed store. we ran out of her normal food yesterday, but can't pick up the abady until tomorrow. so guess what she got?!?! BARF!! she absolutely loved it. i fed her cubed beef muscle meat, mashed veggies (carrots, peas, and spinach), some tuna, and plain yogurt. and she has a nice rmb to chew on later. if only her dad would be more open to the idea of barf...sigh. at least she'll get a special treat for a few days. Aonir Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 Ok, ever since I got here I've been hearing about BARF and RAW. What exactly are they? Homemade doggie foods? Quote
yellowlabsrule Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 I don't know what RAW stands for, but I think BARF stands for Beef and Raw foods? :-? Quote
Lucky Chaos Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003
I don't know what RAW stands for, but I think BARF stands for Beef and Raw foods? :-?
I don't think Raw stands for anything but Barf is Bones and Raw Foods or Biologically Appropriate Real Foods Quote
Aroura Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 Or Bones And Raw Foods - depends on who you are talking to. Hows she going on it? Quote
mydogroxy Posted September 1, 2003 Author Posted September 1, 2003 well it was only a temporary thing, while we were waiting to get her new food. which by the way made her brake out in little bumps all over! i've got a lemon of a dog, hahaha. Quote
Aroura Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 She broke out in lumps from the new food? How was she on the BARF? Have you considered switching her back? My dogs are both apples, they are the apple of my ey!!! Oh now that was seriously BAD! :cunao: Quote
mydogroxy Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 i would loooove to switch her over to barf, but her dad is not a big fan of the diet. so kibble it will be. Quote
Aroura Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 Oh thats no good. What kibble is she on then? Maybe if she is breaking out you could consider another type? Doesn't sound like she's going too well on it :-? Quote
mydogroxy Posted September 4, 2003 Author Posted September 4, 2003 yes, she's off of that kibble and back on the wellness. i'm just going to have to add a little something to make it more appetizing. Quote
