1. It's the same with my mixed breed dog, Zheelah. She only does it when she's playing with the other dog and its all in fun. When the mixed breed, Beta, sees another dog she doesn't stalk like that, she puts her tail up, ears up, hackles up, she's a dominant dog when it comes to other dogs. She is a quarter Rottweiler.
2. Where do you live? I trained my dog myself, he's never been to obediance classes in his life and he's very well behaved on everything but heeling. That is my fault though, I'm not consistent enough with it. He's not very big though, he's just a terrier. People think he's much older than his one year because he's so calm and behaved. You could try to visit some of the obediance classes around your area and find one you are comfortable with if you plan on putting him in a class. You could also get a good dog training book, Good Owners Great Dogs is very helpful. It is by Brian Kilcommons. Good luck training you dog! :D (Just wondering, is this your first dog?)
3. First of all, I don't think a bullet is cruel compared to how the dog has to live now, but definatley I would rather take the dog to the vet to be euthanized. How come your Aunt can't take her to the vet? Maybe you could get the vet to come to you and euthanize the dog at home? If you can't ride in the car with her maybe you could just get the needle from the vet and bring it home. Poor dog.
4. Maybe you could hire someone to come and walk your dog while you're at work? A nearby teenager that loves dogs might be willing to do the job. :D

Probably has some terrier for sure, maybe some collie and like was said before maybe some shepherd. He's very cute. :D
6. Aside from Lad, Grey Dawn was my favourite. I love blue merle collies, they are beautiful, but so are all collies. The story of Treve was very amusing, too. :D Did you know you can see pictures of the actual dogs, Mutts4me? Here is a website with pictures of some of the dogs: http://www.sunnybankcollies.us/collies_index.htm
7. Has anyone read the dog stories by Albert Payson Terhune or heard of them? They are old, written around 1920's and '30's or so but good reading. They are based on the authors own dogs, Rough Collies, but the stories are fictional. Here on the Internet I looked up the authors name and came up with some of his true 'stories' about his dogs. They were amazing dogs and devoted to him and his wife. Very heartwarming to read some of the stories. Just thought I'd mention it. :)
8. Let's see how many different breeds of dogs people on here have. Do you remember the 'Where do you live post'? This will be done the same way. I'll start: 1 West Highland Terrier 1 Mixed breed dog (If you have, for example, a Westie you would put: 2 West Highland Terriers 1 Mixed breed dog If you have a Lab you would put: 1 West Highland Terrier 1 Mixed breed dog 1 Labrador Retriever and so on. Get it?)
9. I have seen cat breed specific food. The food for persian cats was just shaped differently so that the cat could pick it up easier. Also a Siamese cat food that had a better taste because these cats are more fussy. Maybe it's pretty much the same with this food? What breeds are the food for?
10. I agree, you should 'lend' your dog to your Dad for a week and let him see that having a BC would be a lot of work. If he did get into trouble at your Dad's maybe he wouldn't want one. :-? Good luck.
11. Are Rotties dog aggressive? I have been told that they are, but weren't they originally bred to herd cattle and guard them? I really doubt that Rottie at the park meant any harm, he was probably just playing rough. Stupid owner, though. I hope the greyhound is okay.
12. Personally, I would rather not crop or dock a dog if it was going to be just a pet, not show or working. I think the pitbulls look much cuter with their ears uncropped. :)
13. Poor puppy! :o I feel so sorry for the puppy's owner, what a tragic thing to come home to! Petmate should not be selling that product anymore, they obviously don't care.
14. Nutro's Natural Choice dog food has a food especially for sensitive stomachs. Maybe that would work? Both our dogs do great on that brand of food and they love it. Good luck. :)
15. What a total jerk she is! :x Why is she even running a shelter? She must get a thrill out of killing pet dogs, I'd get a thrill if she was PTS! :evilbat: What an idiot! I can imagine her with a little black moustache.
16. Great! I'll post some pictures of Beta and Jesse when I get my activation e-mail! :D
17. I taught Jesse a new trick. He does a high five, he sits up his his hind legs and slaps my hand with his paw. I'm also teaching him to hold his paw up like it was lame, then I want to teach him to walk with it off the ground, like the dogs in the movies. He's very smart and catches on so quick! I taught him high five this morning, it's easy to teach him to do stuff with his paws. Teaching him to be lame is taking a little longer though. He does tricks for pieces of dog food! I gave one to Beta and she's like," Dog food!? I want a treat, not dog food!" She must think Jesse is a real sucker, here he is doing tricks for it and she won't even take it for free!
18. Jesse is only one, the first time I seen that he was still a pup. It always seems to happen in the winter after he's come back inside. Maybe it's the cold wind? Anyway, I checked this morning and it's gone again, no trace of it at all. Weird.
19. I was wondering if anyone could help me. Tonight I noticed Jesse's eye had something wronq with it. It looks like what a chip in a marble looks like, it is in the center of his eye. It doesn't seem to do anything to his sight but I can't be sure. It has been like this off and on ever since I got him, but not quite this bad, usually it just looked like a hair was on his eye but now it actually looks like a chip. It could be that he bumped against something, maybe the cat scratched it but it doesn't look like a scratch. Is there any known problem of this type associated with the Westie breed? Thanks.
20. I got porcupine, bat, and snake. I sound most like bat. That is a fun and interesting quiz.
21. Jesse hasn't yet, he's a year old.
22. My Grandma got a six week old female Shih Tzu pup a few months ago, she's very cute and friendly. Well, I just heard today from my Aunt that my Grandma wants to get a Pomeranian and breed him to her Shih Tzu! :x That's all we need, another litter to help dog overpopulation. I'm going to try to talk her out of it but I don't think it'll do much good. :( *sigh*
23. Wow! I got it first try! :o Good game.
24. I don't know if I'd be able to start one myself. I'm not very business minded. I'd like to though. :D Why doesn't everybody try to start one where they are? Mary Kay parties only started five years ago and it's become enormous!
25. Good Owners Great Dogs by Brian Kilcommons is a really good book. It is the best one I've read. He uses a lot of positive reinforcement. It is worth buying, I recommend this book, too.
