It is much better to feed two small meals a day rather than feed one large meal, as with just feeding one meal it can cause dogs to vomit bile from having a very empty stomach.
Well now Meg is lame so Crufts is most certainly out. She has staved her right shoulder and still her owner thinks he will be competing in the obedience world cup with her  Well I'm withdrawing my entry and not going to risk her health for the sake of being there. She never had any health problems when I worked with her so just goes to show doesn't it.... She is on lead rest for now so I brought her to my house this afternoon and groomed her a bit and just gave her some attention, I also showed her the new i-Qube that I was given when I left the dog school in the Netherlands. She totally loved it and I didn't even have to show her how to use it to get the balls out then I was putting them in again and she got that concept too and was setting the balls on top of the holes and using her paw to shove them in. She totally amazes me!.
I then showed it to my Golden retriever Zoe and I have to say..she really is a dumb blonde  She just looked at me and was giving me paws lol so I think I will show her again later hehe
oh wow congrats! :D For a Golden I have always loved Midas or Mydas but my other favourite Doggie names are Zen (from Zenith meaning peak or top), Cory, Ethan, Kes, Paris.
I love little lab puppies when they are all floppy and have those dozy eyes, but I'm biased and have to say nothing beats a Border collie for cuteness :P
That new show Who gets the dog sounds really bad. I've seen a similar thing in the UK and the dog was returned after a few weeks because the people couldn't cope. Its a stupid show and not the right way to go about homing a dog. The poor dog would be so confused being passed from home to home
Ruptured discs usually require anti-inflammatory drugs and rest with surgery as a last resort. Does the vet have any idea what caused it?
Loki is right in saying that the dog should definitely have parasite tests done as with working with sheep the dog could easily have picked up a parasite (tick/worm) which can cause paralysis.
It doesn't sound too good to be honest. If he is constipated which can quite frequently happen, you can give him a few mls of lactulose which should help ease him, but of course consult your vet if you are really concerned.
