1. RedNose- here is the link to the store locator for Natura/Innova : http://www.naturapet.com/display.php?d=stores-tab
2. Just for fun...and I know this has been posted before, but in the wake of all this BSL, I thought it was relevant: Find the Pitbull... http://www.pitbullsontheweb.com/petbull/findpit.html
3. yay Mouse!!! So glad the day is finally here :D
4. Done!
5.
Out of curiousity, what breed was Spuds Mckenzie and Blue?
English Bull Terrier
6. True_Pits...if I misjudged you prematurely, I sincerely apologize. However when looking at the pic you posted that is the first image that flashes to mind (status dog owner). Surely there must be a better way to confine a dog (and trust me..I DO understand the breed AND its misconceptions), without that ridiculously large chain shown in the pic ??? From what you say it seems you truly love your dogs and are very knowlegable...I'm just not understanding that particular picture :-? Please explain to me how that dog can be happy tethered in that manner?? There are plenty of responsible Pit owners on this board who do not see the need to tie out their dogs like that. BTW, I looked at your website and the pics of the Pitties on the sofa looked MUCH more comfortable
7. It is sad Kat, but over here it seems like the rule is"if it looks like a Pit...then it MUST be a Pit" problem being that most people have no clue what a Pitbull looks like :-? Like I said above, EBT seem to have escaped much of the BSL ,but there are still the ignorant people that would and will lump them in. Their only saving grace is the widespread popularity of the pop culture icons like "Spuds McKenzie" and Don Cherry's EBT "Blue".
8. "Pitbull" is a blanket term for any pit type breed...APBT, SBT, AmStaff, American Bulldog, English Bull Terrier (although they seem to have escaped some of the stigma), also anything that even looks remotely like it *might* be crossed with a Pit falls under this generalization. Most people wouldn't recognize a *true* pitbull if they tripped over it :-? Case in point...my male boxer (pictured below left) is often mistaken for a "Pitbull".
9. I'm so sorry Kara! I emailed yesterday...hope it helps make a difference :( My husband and I were just talking the other day about the possibility of moving back up there to London or T.O. but with all this going on I don't think I want to....if they will enforce a breed ban on Pitbulls....what will stop them from targeting any breed??? :-? Fingers and Paws crossed here that the province keeps a level head and does the right thing...
10. nahhh..covert operations.....they're probably sneaking around in camouflage, hiding behind shrubs with infra-red cameras.....this kind of 'abuse' calls for extreme measures ya know! After all the phrase "get her" was used...and we ALL know that that is international code for "I am an animal killer"
11. :o  ...have you checked your yard for tents this evening?
12. :o I hear ya DP.....all thats missing is the ridiculous spiked collar.
13. Rednose...your Boxers are beautiful! (and that is my semi-unbiased opinion  ). I especially love Cheyenne's markings :D ...and Tosh is simply adorable!
14. Smooshie

my new breed

LOL...are they related in any way to the Jack Russel Terrorists??
15. They are just gorgeous!...I'm partial to George (on the parent's page)
16. I'll be writing as soon as I'm off work :-?
17. Aroura!....nice to see you!...Awww Diego is adorable :D Don't be such a stranger
18. No offense to your family Court, but some people should be spayed/neutered at birth  And good for you for standing up to the little turd!
19. :o ..does your sister often go around letting her unruly child smack strange dogs with newspapers??? Well I sincerely hope she has good medical insurance because that boy is going to get bit someday...and the poor dog will likely pay the price :-? Hmmm...I bet you had to restrain yourself from "smacking some manners" into the young lad with that very newspaper
20. Awwww!...how cute!!
21. I agree with Carol. Some rescues are flexible on the fenced yard requirement if you can guarantee the dog will get adequate exercise on leash or at the dogpark. FLBR made an exeption for me when I adopted my first Boxer...I was living in an apartment at the time.
22. Some people are idiots. I understand they might THINK they are "crusading for the animals"...but they can't go around making unfounded accusations...especially since you showed them how "abused" your dogs were  . Don't give it another thought, Court....YOU know you are a good dog owner. Even if these busybodies carry through with their threats and file a report, any animal control officer with 2 eyes and a brain can tell you take great care of your animals ! heck it could just as easily have been me ....I "sick" my dogs on each other all the time...and don't they look SO abused??
23. I wish more breeders would put in as much effort as the breed rescues do when placing their dogs in homes! The Boxer rescue I went thru to adopt both my "kids" is wonderful. Their screening and approval process is strict , but because of it they very rarely have to take a dog back from an adoptive home. It amazes me how much time these people VOLUNTEER to make sure these deserving dogs are not only placed in appropriate homes, but they are there to provide support after the adoption as well. They follow up on the dogs progress on a regular basis, and I know I could pick up the phone and call my rescue rep at any time with a problem or question and they would help me. They want these dogs to have good stable homes, no matter what it takes...It is a true testament to their love of the breed, because they certainly don't get paid to do it
24. Agreed!...hmmm, but ya know, we DO need to be a wee bit more careful...those girls are going to wonder why the "my dog has a tick" thread in the health forum is getting so much traffic....lets be smart, ladies... 8) Now everyone...split up and for DOGS sake don't look conspicuous ! :evilbat:
