I knew I should have checked back earlier and seen this. :( I'm so so glad you're ok but I feel awful about you having to give up your animals. :( If it makes you feel any better I live in Largo and the ASPCA is the nicest shelter in this area, from what I've seen. They will be well cared for there. Please message me if there's anything at all I can do to help you and your family!!! ps...If ya need to get out and have a few drinks, DH is a bartender down on the beach in Indian Shores ( a bar called the Blue Marlin). Does anyone know of any Fila Brasileiro or rare mastiff rescue organizations in Florida??? I'm trying to rehome a Fila, and I haven't the slightest clue where to start. He belongs to a friend of dh's and I don't want him to end up in the wrong hands so I volunteered to help him find a home for the dog. (I'd take him myself if I could...lol) . He needs to re home him as soon as possible so if anyone has any helpful info or suggestions I'd really appreciate it :D

crap...its been chaotic here for the past few weeks...we have friends of ours and their kids staying with us for awhile....work has been hellish ...its just been crazy :o . I've dropped in to read threads but I haven't had a spare minute to post! :oops: Nice to be missed though :wink:

You know thats a good question. He really didn't specify a preference to me about whether he wanted working or conformation lines...personally I too would like to see him put both on there so people can see that there is a distinction. I'll have to run that by him. :D Court ...if you could send a pic of Laurel that would be great! I agree...a mixed breed database would be cool, but how would you go about categorizing it??? A large percentage of mixed breed owners have no clue about the parentage of their dogs....although some (like the designer mixes) can be quite easy to figure out , but what about the true mongrels that are a mix of several breeds? thx guys for the input! :D

I don't think he's picky as long as its a nice clear pic. The dog doesn't necessarily have to be stacked.....he just wants nice shots, representative of the breed. :D

I too have heard that chicken 'meal' is more nutrient dense than just chicken, because of the lack of water weight. I personally am not a big fan of brewers rice as a main ingredient either. Its a lower quality carbohydrate than either ground white rice or ground brown rice. Because of this and the fact that it contains corn, I wouldn't feed it, but it certainly seems better than the dreaded grocery store brands. I would put it on an even keel with Purina One or Eukanuba

I'm not sure about the size of Eagle Pack's kibble, but DP is right..Canidae kibble is very small, and so is Solid Gold Millennia.
