courtnek Posted May 28, 2005 Share Posted May 28, 2005 when I got her she was scared of everything, even me. she has worked her way up thru fear of people, fear of loud noises, fear of everything, to barking/baying at noises outside.alerting to things out of place (like the kitchen garbage on fire), barking/baying at the door when strangers come (she used to run and hide, and sometimes fear pee and poop) I am Proud of her!! it took a ton of work, but it can be done. I never had a fearful dog before, most of my time was spent demoting overly dominant dogs into good house pets. this side of the coin was actually harder, because you have to instll confidence without instilling over-confidence...and dominance.
