Ok so I read somewhere ( I can't remember where) that you can put one of thoes beef bouillon cubes in water and then freeze the beef water, and that they make great dog treats. Like beef flavored ice cubes. Has anyone tried that? I have the Bouillon cubes just wondering if anyone has tried it.

Just be aware that beef bouillon cubes or granules carry a high sodium content, 1 teaspoon of the granules I have here contain 870mg of sodium. Depending on how much water you dissolve the bouillon in, your dog might get a little sodium or a lot. I prefer to dilute any bouillon with a large amount of water. Another idea, if you cook a roast with some water, add a little extra, then use that and dilute it with more water. Dog still gets that beefy flavor without the added sodium. Of course dogs, like people, need SOME salt/sodium in their diets but I don't wish to add a lot of sodium. I also boil chicken breasts in a lot of water then save and freeze that water in cubes. Dogs love it!

I did it when my dogs were teething. you can get buillon cubes with low sodium content, look for the diabetic/sugar free aisle in your grocery store if you have one. most diabetics need to stay away from high sodium levels, and they may have some there. if not, then yes, dillute them alot.
but my dogs all loved them

you can do it with chicken cubes too. same thing, try to get the low sodium ones

I give Coal normal ice cubes and he LOVES them! (he mainly likes to play with them  ) So I've been thinking about doing the beef or chicken thing for him! I'm sure he'd love that! If we ever have a hot day again  I will have to remember to do that :D
