Beautiful Border Collie Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 Im a member of the Border Collie boards too. Ive been a member there for along time and just get tired of the bickering. Anyways, i love the Aussies. I have blue merle border collies and everybody thinks my dogs are Aussies. Quote
leahluvsherpups Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 I to am a member of the BC boards, but they bore me. My BC just doesn't live up to the standards and according to some over there, she is fat. She was a little overweight but I managed to get about 10lbs off of her. Quote
Ripley's Girl Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I love Aussies, they actually were the breed I wanted for agility for a couple of years before I decided on a Border Collie. Quote
AllAmericanPUP Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 I do not own an aussie, but I sure do love the breed!! I found an aussie outside my fence a few months ago. he sure was a sweet thing!!! had him for about 2 months I do believe, and never found his owners. We would have loved to keep him, but 2 of my dogs didn't like him :( He went to an aussie rescue and has been adopted!! he sure was FAT, lol. He has been put on a diet at the rescue and now at his new home he was the sweetest dog!! I named him Frankie he was neutered, so I am surprised his owners weren't looking for him... he definately needed grooming!! the rescue did groom him and bathe him and what not, he looked gorgeous after his grooming :D Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Frankie is such a beautiful boy. I am glad that the rescue was able to take him and that they found a forever home for him. JackieMaya Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 This is an old thread, but now I can participate! As of 11 days ago, I have an Aussie mix named Pooh Bear! He's black and tan with some white. Do purebred Australian Shepherds come in that color? I'm just amazed at how smart he is and how eager to please he is, and how happy he is! Quote

ellgee Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I am a collie mom myself, but my sister is an aussie breeder and has been breeding them for nearly 30 years. They recently had a litter, they were blessed with 3 red merles and one blue this time, plus 3 redheads. They are so cute - you can't help but laugh at all their antics! They are great dogs, they are always just so happy!!! Quote
rubiot Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 I have a great Aussie, but I have to give him up :( . His name is Gizmo and he is a red 1 1/2 yr old. He's great with my kids and my cat. With a new baby, school, and my husband being deployed, he's just too much for me. I had to move into an apartment so he doesn't have a yard to play in anymore and is just miserable. Anyone know where I can find a good home for him? Quote
rubiot Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 I live in Atlanta,GA. The closest Aussie Rescue is over 4 hours from here down close to Savannah. I've met the lady who runs it and she's real nice, but I would like to try and place him myself first, if I can. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 I'll post on my Aussie board to see if anyone can help you out.. but if you do a google search you can find the Aussie Rescue and placement. they take them as well... or you can go to my aussie board that i'm on maybe someone there can help... here's the link...
