About once a week an icecream truck drives by our house and rings this really annoying tune everytime. Well we have a TV show here called Bumtsibum (hate that name) wich has the icecream truck company as their sponsor, so everytime the show takes a brake that annoying tune comes. Ben has heard that before outside, so everytime that tune comes on the TV, he thinks the truck is driveing by again so he starts barking and running around the house from window to window to see the truck (but offcoure don't when the tune comes from TV). So then he gets really shamed and confused and starts whineing and often goes to hide for a moment just because he's embaressed (I think).
And when the real icecream truck really DOES drive by and he barks at it, he must circle the house and come to me, my mom and my dad and bark, just to kind of say "I told you so!".

Does your dog(s) do something like this at all?

Oh, btw... Does your dogs like listening to music? Ben loves... LOVES... the opera and... ehh... (don't know how opera and this is linked to eachother, but... it's a dog's life, right? ...right??) Bahamen - Who let the dogs out!

Ben allso likes watching tv... Well... if something good like OPERA is on... Geesh! Talk about sofisticated taste...

WHY am I telling you guys this? Umm... I haven't got a clue... I guess I just like telling stories...

Quote of Homer Simpson:
Ooh, I love your magazine. Especially the part with "increase your vocabulary". I think it is really... really... really... good.
Ahh, I'm telling all ellieangel's stories tonight, as she is out at a wedding reception, and I am doggie sitting as usual
Just kidding, I love it when I don't have to anything 'cept play with doggies all evening, and go on here of course, her comp is faster than mine..
Anyway, theres an advert on the UK living channel where a doorbell rings at every advert break.
God, it's a nightmare, we prepare ourselves for when it comes on with the remote to mute it , cos they'll keep on barkig until we answer the door to sow them that no ones there, then they get really confused.
They do it everytime there is a doorbell the same as hers on TV..
If you miaow at the aswell they think the cat has come in and go look for it..even though they can be looking right at you when you are making the noise.
You have to do a very distinctive sound though, cos their cat(who I now have, cos he got fed up of being chased by the terrible twins) makes a very odd noise, its a miaow that sounds like he's saying ONION.
I wonder how many of you I got doing trying to make that sound. :D
very odd animals :o

:D

Sally & Rocket have figured out the T.V. doorbell thing, but they still bark at the dogs on T.V., except while we're watching a dog show, then they just stare, Oh and then sally will like stick her nose in the air and go to sleep the time I'm waking her up telling her to take notes, that that's how it's supposed to be done.

Awwww!!!! That's SOO sweet that they would try to calm a baby (real or not!) that way! :lilangel:

Crested, Ben is such a cute dog!!! :D

Cosmic loves music by Enya! :) We played it to him at bedtime everynight the first 2 weeks he was with us - the soothing music lulls him to sleep. Even now, he'll go into 'relax' mode when he hears anything by Enya. He's my little baby! :D :baby:

my Ben (who`s now gone to the rainbow bridge) also used to bark when he heard the ice-cream truck, but this is because the ice-cream man always used to save the broken cornets for him and put ice cream in them for him, so as soon as he heard the ice-cream truck he knew that ice-cream was waiting for him
Bronwin (who`s also gone to the rainbow bridge) used to be obsessed with watching the t.v. as soon as we`d come downstairs in the morning she`d pace back and forth from the t.v to us, until one of us switched it on for her  There is a kids programme here called "teletubbies", on that programme was a hill with rabbits running around on it, and all you could here while that was on was her whineing and the clonking of her teeth on the t.v. as she tried to catch the rabbits  , the t.v. would be covered in drool :-? . Also we have a t.v programme called "coronation street", it is a soap. At the end there is music (a bit like a brass band) and Bronwin used to sing alond to it
Joe, my yorkie terrier barks like crazy and rushes to the front door every time he hears a doorbell ring on t.v., but the best part is we don`t even have a doorbell :o
