Guest Anonymous Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 Alas, pictures are not possible at this point, as I don't own a computer :o My workplace kindly has an internet computer in our breakroom and that is where I surf, hence the perpetual Guest status. Regarding Little Bear, the Shiba look-a-like, it is hard to say where her particular conformation comes from. Alaskan Huskies are an amalgamation of various breeds all crossed with native Alaskan village dogs- most of this experimentation took place in the late forties and early fifties with Siberians and Malamutes as the base stock with Irish setter, hounds and greyhounds mixed in. Later in the sixties, more greyhound was added as well as Saluki, deerhound, and back to more siberians. the point was to produce a dog that was relatively light boned, long bodied and physically tough, with a rear-end that was even with or slightly higher than the front. Little Bear has a short, fox like face, a tightly curled tail and the prettiest amber eyes you've ever seen, only she is shiny midnight black. A reqal cutie. Someday I'll be dragged kicking and screaming into the 20th century and will buy a computer... :multi: Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 I only have two dogs, but they are both a little crazy so it's enough right now. Someday I'd like to have an English Mastiff and an Italian Greyhound, and lots of mutts. Name: Lady ( I did not name her, she was named when we adopted her) Breed: Beautiful. Really she's a American Eskimo mix, don't know for sure the rest maybe with a little Golden Ret and some terrier.......28 pounds... Color: When she's clean she's light blond, she loves to get dirty though. She's not very ladylike. Age: Somewhere around eight years old, still looks and acts like she's three. Favorite things: Me, beating up on Dresden, treats, patrolling our yard for invaders and picking fights ( and running off) dogs twice her size, being the best dog we've ever had Name:Dresden Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Psycho Dog/God only knows what else, maybe Doberman or Catahoula Leopard dog or Pointer...... Color: Deep red-brown and white with lots of spots on the white part. Age: Roughly eight months, she was an adoptee too. She's 45 pounds but about to have another growth spurt I think. Favorite things: Being a pest to me and Lady, me and lady, terrorizing people she knows are afraid of her, biting hands and backsides in an attempt to herd, stealing anything she knows is forbidden and trying to destroy it before I find her, running really fast Unfortunately I only have pictures of Dresden on the internet, My file with lady's got deleted because I am too cheap to waste money on keeping the albums for more than 90 days. http://members13.clubphoto.com/martha632577/1048990/guest.phtml Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 Name Autumn Breed Boston Terrier Age almost 4 mos. I am totally in love with this breed of dog. I am semi retired and I wanted a dog once again. Favorite things: She love to tease us. When out side she sits in the middle of the loop lock cover over the poll chewing on something she shouldn't. She also goes crazy after supper each night to the point I have to pick her up to calm her down. She has the funniest expressions and is a very intelligent puppy. She is attending puppy kindergarten. (or should I say that I am Quote
