4. I'm not going there with Eli and what people think of him. He is the product of BYB, he is poorly bred, but still 100% APBT. It's not like he is a show dog or something, he doesn't have/need to be perfect. My friend has a boxer, and Eli has no characteristics of a boxer. this is about the best pic of eli I have... FLEAS!!

I pay about $110 a month for Frontline :o , but that takes care of my 10 pets
7. Most australian shepherds are born with docked tails. this is off of an old english sheepdog info thing This breed is either born tailless (as the name Bobtail implies) or the tail is completely amputated.
8. The biggest thing I find "funny" is that English pointers taisl are NOT docked, yet just about every other bird dog is??????? I know of a couple boxers who have tails and they have never had a problem or injury.
9.

I have only seen a few GSD's whos ears never stood up..
I am lucky enough to have one! :D My Hunter has a lazy ear. Just one. It's his personality!
he's very cute too!!!
10. GSD's have naturally standing ears, only an idiot would crop a GSD's ears. As puppies they will be floppy, but the eventually stand up. I have only seen a few GSD's whos ears never stood up..
11. No, just about every color is excepted for pit bulls. Except colors like merle. those are not pure pits, no matter what anyone says ;) that's a big thing I love about pitties, they are so many different colors http://www.apbtconformation.com/apbt_colors.htm I hope to get a pic of Eli's sister soon, she has almost the exact markings as him but more white on her face. she's beautiful
12. You have just been scammed by a puppy mill. Happens all the time unfortunately. Please consider adopting from a shelter or rescue or going to a RESPONSIBLE breeder
13. I would make them but liver is so disgusting!!!

15.

Because Americans are pompous a$$ holes who only care about money
Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not... I sure hope you are! I know for a fact that my dog's American breeder is not a pompous a$$hole who only cares about money. She's been breeding wonderful dogs for over 30 years - several BIS and BISS winners, as well as the test dogs for the Working Aptitude Evaluation. Her dogs aren't just show dogs - they can work too. She loses money on each litter she produces, because she does it right. The health testing, the cost of showing and trialing (and hiring handlers, since she's no spring chicken anymore!) I think it's unfair to categorize breeders based on the location of their kennel. I like what John Kerry said int he debate tonight about supreme court justices - and I think it also applies to breeders - "When you see a dog, you shouldn't be able to tell if it was bred by a woman or a mon, a conservative or a liberal, a German or an American or a Canadian or an Argentinian or a Japanese person - you should look at the dog, and be able to say, 'd*** that's a nice, correct dog who can do the job it was bred to do!' " ***** Edited to add that I won't be back for awhile to read responses - we're headed to the Doberman Pinscher Club of America's National Specialty Show in Kentucky... we'll be gone for an entire week.*****
I was talking about BYB's and puppy mills, not reputalble breeders. sorry. but yes american breeders, even reputable ones, have ruined dogs like english bulldogs and many many other breeds.
16. cute puppies. Yea in AMERICA english bulldogs are horrible and I would never buy one. They are riddled with health problems. But that's in America. Why? Because Americans are pompous a$$ holes who only care about money ;) Yes I am an American. K's bulldogs are NOTHING like the bulldogs you see everybday in the USA. the USA bulldogs are short and pushed face, riddled with health problem dogs. That is why there are people trying to bring back a real bulldog called the "olde english bulldogge" OR "renaissance bulldog" K's bulldogs are taller and they dont have the smashed in faces, and they can actually run and play without dying from not being able to breed.
17.
correct me if I'm wrong (and I am, quite often it seems) but isnt a "true" Pittie somewhere between 30-50 lbs? the big ones are mixes, like K mentioned arent they? I cant see a dog with legs that short weighing 90 lbs. It just seems wrong somehow....completely out of proportion....
your right, a TRUE pit bull is in the 30-50 pound range, but more like the 30-40 range. the "pits" that you see that are like 80lbs and over are most likely mixed. You can breed a big pit to a big pit and get big pits, and keep doing that, but you are breeding away from the standard and everything else, and therefore the dogs are not true to their breed Eli is about 58lbs. he's a lil big, but he's is well proportioned and he is definately not some oversized monster pit

19. I consider the APBT and Am Staff to be the same breed..but anywayz. here is Eli, my APBT i am a picture addict  lol
20. ALL of my dogs are of unkown lineage Why/how you picked the dog you got. maggie-my dad picked her out of a litter, she was calmly laying next to her mom and just stared at my dad Shadow- picked her out a litter cause she had the most white Sheeba- picked her up off the street Keesha-the only one left out of her litter(they were found in a ditch) and nobody wanted to adopt her cause she was the girl runt Ozzy-my sister picked him out cause she reminded him of her last dog Timmy Barkley-i wanted Barkley since he was 3 weeks old, i finally got him at 5 months cause the peopl werent taking care of him. Eli-he was dropped on me by his previous owner. How important was pedigree? Bloodline? Breeding? Didn't matter one bit

22. oh cmon. you are not going to let a couple close minded ignorant people on a country music board stop you from owning this WONDERFUL breed are you? and who cares what the people on the street think of your dog. or your friends or ANYBODY YOU know your dog is awesome and YOU know your dog isn't a man eating vicous beast, and your dog loves you no matter what, so why does it matter what others think? I will NEVER let ANYBODY stop me from owning the breed I choose to own. I have been attacked by countless chihuahuas, poodles, shih tzus, dachsuns, etc. but ya don't see me wanting to ban them do ya? People are just ignorant and you can't change that unforunately. Educate those who want to listen, ignore those who won't listen cause it's just a waste of your time! :B-fly:
23. things like this are why I probably won't get married :evilbat:
