why do you need to build shoulder muscle?? The best way to build muscle on a dog is feed a good diet and lots of walking. a dog can only be as muscular as it's genetic makeup allows. whatever you do. DO NOT use any neck weights or any of that crap, that crap harms dogs!!

uh well we had a hell of a time keeping eli and barkley from bleeding and such when they got neutered. they both ripped out their stiches and staples, even with cones on!!

I wouldn't worry much. Stuff like that usually passes through. watch her poop lol..if she doesn't poop or it doesnt come out..then be concerned

How nice of him!! Every time I go through mcdonald's drive through, if i have a dog, they hand me 2 or 3 treats for them :D and my bank has a lil treat jar for the doggies too!! My mailman is real nice to the doggies. I pulled up the other day to find him bent down speaking all sweet and what not to sheeba..trying to pet her.lol. she was bein a brat and just barked at him though lol.

The only breed I can think of with those crystal clear blue eyes is Huskies, but I don think this girl has any husky in her.

Yes. but that breed is NOT pit bulls or any other "well known" breed. i remember reading about a mastiff type breed that was actually bred to be human agressive, i dont remember their reasoning behind this and i dont remember what the breed was called(it wasn't fila's) but I will look it up later.

He's very cute!! I love his markings! It's hard to say what mix he is. I have seen rot/pit mixes that look exactly like that, so he might be a rot/pit mix... he might also have some shepher or hound in him...i dunno

Very good post Nylablady!! I have 5 mutts, and I absolutely love mutts, but the intentional breed of mutts is just wrong IMO. The only time I think breed mutts is ok is alaskan huskys and labrdoodles(when bred to be service dogs) other than that it's just rediculous. like nylablady said, there are over 400 breeds, if you cant find one that fits your needs then you're a fricken weirdo LOL :P

free feeding here would be a disaster. my dogs eat in the morning and at night and that is good for them. i have never liked free feeding and will never free feed my animals. even my cats are on a feeding schedule.

I feed my adult dogs Diamond Beef Meal and Rice formula.. and maggie gets chicken soup for the dog lovers soul senior formula. I am going to switch my adult dogs to the chicken soup when I start working.

I hear ya. I broke and dislocated my ankle on mother's day and I am still healing from it, and have to have another(this is the 3rd time) surgery... I don't take my dogs on many walks because it hurts my ankle...they are pullers too.... I can't really think of anything.. People swear by prong collars, but I don't know much about them.... Sorry I have no advice :(

I took him to the shelter this morning. I would have loved to keep him here until I found his owners or a new home, but I have absolutely nowhere to keep him. It's hard enough keeping Eli seperated from barkley and the cats, and giving them all equal loving and free roaming time. :(

There is the cardigan(sp?) and pembroke corgi. Here in the USA. one has a tail and the other doesn't.. :-?
