1. :x :x :x Why do people do it
2. Lovely to hear some good news for a change. :D I am so pleased for you and Candy. :buzi:
3. The story is a few days old here now. :D It is very funny, good old Red letting everyone out for a good time. What a clever lad, apparently they've had over 300 calls offering to re-home Red. Must make sure all the doors are double bolted though.
4. That is sick, have they no feelings for these dogs. :x The human race stinks. We live about 20 minutes drive from Belle Vue a greyhound racing track. I'd never been in my life until about two years ago when I visited twice. I enjoyed it but at the time didn't know what went on with the dogs  etc etc and have never been since.
5.
your brother is mean not taking her out for a little walk
Well Judy Bri said the same thing. How could they give her up if they loved her (which I'm sure they do). All it would take is to put on her lead and take her on a few short walks a day. :( They are both retired so don't have work to go to like us. They also live about five minutes drive from a lovely canal and recreation area. Personally I couldn't do it, it broke my heart to take her back after having her for a week or a fortnight. So I don't know, are they thinking of themselves (I know they're frightened in case she becomes ill and dies etc) or have they truly got her interests at heart. Either way I gain because I get to keep her. :iloveyou: So that's all that matters. :D
6. What a lovely smile Tabatha. :D Welcome home sweetie. :buzi:
7.
Cleo loves her Marion!
Awwwwwwwwww Christina, I hope so because I love her very much. :D
8. Run free Angel
9. It stinks when your dog gets blamed for something it can't possibly have done. I'd be mad too. :x My neighbours used to go on about Rosie barking. She does when she's a bit bored, she doesn't eat her treats she barks at them. Anyway one day she'd been out with me for hours. When we got back the neighbours said they'd been cursing her for barking. Haha, it couldn't of been Rosie she wasn't there. They saw her come in with me so conceded it couldn't of been her. Next minute barking was heard, it was the dog who lives at the back who gets left out a lot in the garden. They've never said anything since. I wouldn't mind but it's a mountain dog and it's bark is nothing like Rosie's. :D Let us know how you go on with the other neighbours. And tell the witch to sod off.
10. Good on Tigger, making sure she gets the best spot on the bed. :D
11. Since getting back from holiday don't seem to have had a minute. :( Not caught up on missed posts here or anywhere else for that matter. It's weddings, weddings and bloody weddings at the moment. Plus I've been mad busy with work too. Anyway to the point. I've just had Cleo again for a week. I took her back to my brother's today. Anyway they say that she never moves out of her bed for three days after I take her back. They say she gets very depressed. This is because they live in a very small house in a built up neighbourhood and they never take her out. Even though she's old, going blind and deaf she still loves her sniffs in the grass and runs after me on the Heath. Whilst here she follows me round the house every time I move. She follows me upstairs then can't get down again and I have to run up with her bed, she jumps in it and I carry her down. You can't pick her up because she doesn't like you pressing on her tummy. She goes out here at least four times a day on the Heath and has my two doggies for company even though they studiously ignore one another. I took her out in the rain this morning and stood there for 10 minutes while she sniffed one blade of grass. Anyway, they asked me today if I'd have her fulltime. They think she would be happier here for her remaining life. She didn't get to go out much when mum was alive due to her ill health, except when I visited and always took her out (she associates me with going walkies). Although they love her dearly they think she'd have a better quality of life with me, Bri, Ruby and Rosie. So, I left her there for the time being and will collect her some time this week. At least now she won't be going back and too all the time. I've already got a nice new fleece blanket ready for her arrival. Plus she gets all the chicken she can eat here. So wish me luck with my new or should I say old Cleo, I hope her remaining days will be very happy here with us.
12. I'm 5ft 3in and stopped growing 30 years ago. :(
13. Awwwwwwwwwww poor Perry :buzi: Hope everything goes well HF Love and kisses from Ruby and Rosie :iloveyou: :buzi:
14. Fantastic, I don't think there is such a law here but there should be. :( I see two small dogs chained up constantly in a large drive with massive gates on. :x The neighbour said they are never off the chains and never go anywhere. They live in a small makeshift kennel at the side of them. I feel so sorry for them. I asked the owner why they were chained when I delivered there, she said one of them had killed a gerbil. :o God, she has the land to let them have a run around so why doesn't she.
15. Congrats to Paddy and Gladis. :multi: Did hubby not win anything for wearing his jazzy socks?
16. So pleased to hear things are getting better. :buzi: Keep up the good work. :klacz:
17.   I commend you for the job you do but I couldn't do it. I'd be constantly in bits. :( R.I.P. Marley
18. I'm so sorry for your loss. :( I read this earlier but couldn't reply for the tears in my eyes. You did the right thing by her and she'll be running and playing with all her new friends waiting for you to join her. R.I.P. Ariel
19. Sounds like you had a great time Mia, and Bella too. :D Will she teach Rosie how to swim, she'll only paddle. And, welcome back you've been away far too long. :buzi:
20. Wishing you the very best of luck. Hope everything works out for you :buzi:
21. I'm on thyroxine for life and Rosie is on Soloxine also for life. I noticed she was getting fat and lethargic. At first I just thought she was overweight then after a while realised it must be something else. I researched it on the internet and she had all the symptoms. I took her to the vets and asked them to do a blood test for it and hey presto. She has regular blood checks now and is much better although still a lazy madam sometimes (but that's English Setters for you). Don't think of yourself as being a bad mum, how are we to know. My vet saw her and never mentioned anything until I asked for the test. I myself always had weight problems but since having my thyroid out have lost a lot of weight and been steady. Glad Taurus is getting more energetic, it gladdens your heart doesn't it. :D
