Okay, last night my 1 year old lab suddenly lost bowel control and had a bowel movement right on the floor. At first it was a firm normal stool then she exploded with diareah and then peed. I got her outside and she threw up. I had to go to work. When I got home she was making a coughing noise. She sounded like a horse. She slept all night. Woke up this morning with no more diareaha and no more throwing up. She's acting happy, waging tail but still makes that funny "cough" sound occasionally. She's drinking water and I fed her a small amount of food a few hours ago and so far so good. Any suggestions???? Thank you. :( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BuddysMom Posted September 4, 2005 Share Posted September 4, 2005 I don't know about the cough but the other stuff sounds like it could be giardia ... stinks that this always happens on a holiday doesn't it? But wiht the addition of the coughing, it seems pretty serious. I'm no expert but I would personally try to find and emergency vet especially if any of the symptoms return. Good luck!
