Guest Anonymous
I have two large dogs and a yorkie. I was wondering if anyone has used those doggie septic things.Do they work? I keep up with yard and kennel clean up every day but I feel so bad putting the waist into the garbage for pickup. The poor garbage men hair must fall out when they get a wiff of that.lol What do the rest of ya all do? thanks
kendalyn
I've never heard of a doggie septic system. Do you have an example? I live behind a large forest and Buck is trained to go to the bathroom back there. That way I don't have to pooper scoop. When I walk him I throw the doggie bags into the trash just like you. Daisysmom
I've seen those before. They look great. I have thought about getting one because I have 3 dogs too. Haven't tried one though.

courtnek
I dont think the garbage men really care...all garbage smells bad generally. If you're really concerned, you can get a bucket and some port-a-potty products like they use for septic tanks, (mostly yeast and other natural compounds) and put the waste in there. Cover it. The yeast will break it down and then you can do whatever you want with it. It works the same as a septic system, but it's much less expensive. I cant think of the name right now, but they sell it at most hardware stores for septic systems...water and the septic stuff is all you need.
