1. That sounds slightly wierd... :o
2. I think it seems strange to let someone else train your dog, but then again I don't know much abotu it... But as for protecting you if you were in danger, I think most any dog would defend its person/people if neccissary even if its a sweet, friendly dog who loves everyone. And just the mere presence of a dog can help. :)
3. Aw, Sady looks like a big cuddly teddybear! :) Web is almost 13 months old now. At the vets last month he weighed 27kg, but he still needs to put on some muscles and stuff. Male flatties usually weigh around 30-35kg or so I think I read somewhere... Don't know how much that is in pounds.
4. Hey, I DID take a picture!  I just hadn't gotten it uploaded yet... Stupid snapfish isn't working. :-? But here it is, although its going to look strange because photobucket makes them look wierd. JackieMaya - thats a VERY cute picture! :D
5. I was watching TV, and looked down and saw Web lying with his head on a pillow that he'd carried out from my bed. He looked so cute! And how smart, to know that pillows are for leaning heads on! I tried to tire him out today and I guess it worked! He is such a silly dog :iloveyou:
6. You can teach her to lick on command. And then when she knows the word, you can point to someone else and have her go lick that person. "Go find" is fun... Teach the names of people and then make him go to the person who's name you said. "Find it" is my dogs favorite game/trick. I show him a toy so he knows what it is, then put him in a down/stay and go hide the toy. Then he gets to go find the toy and bring it back. Webby loves it! :) Theres weaving between your legs too. You walk and the dog walks through your legs. Figure 8 is like weaving but you stand still and the dog goes through your legs in a figure 8. walking backwards balancing on things. You teach the dog the word upp and then you can point at things and it'll jump up. I've found it very handy when doing agility with Web. :D left and right can be fun to do.. Web knows left, its great on walks when he's ahead of me and I want to turn. "Stop" is pretty easy to teach, and can be really good to know! And its one of the things they need to know for the first competitive obedience class. "Touch", with either his nose or paw. Retrieving "Gentle", for Web that means to take the treat very carefully from my hands. Normally he gets all excited at the prospect of getting food  and and can be a bit overenthusiastic, so its nice that he knows to take it gentley sometimes. :) High Five. Web does it so he rears up on his haunches and slaps my palm with one of his paws. "Pretty Paw" only means that he has to lift one of his paws. You could give differnt toys names and have her distinguish between them- like ask for the ball, and she has to get the ball and not the squeaky toy or something. You could also try to get the things she knows faster, for example if she'll sit 2 seconds after you say "sit" you could try to get her to sit within 1 second, etc.
7.
I came on asking a serious question, just asking for advice... But it's not worth it... So I edited it out.
Well why should people waste their time answering, when no one can be sure if there really is a bump on her side or not? :-? Your other "serious questions" were all lies, why should this be any different? :-?
8. Here we pick up "plopsies" :o
9.
hahaha  What I want to know is what did she use to paint that with? :fadein:
"I painted it live, from the model, using the best quality oily oil paints to give a realistic glossy "freshly created" sheen to the subject." :o
10. They might think we're insane, but they're mistaken. It is so those non-dog-people who are the ones with something wrong!
11. Aww, how cute. :D Reminds me a bit of when Tizzy (guinea pig) got jelous of Pep (mouse) and would squak and pull on my pants legs to get attention when I was saying hi to Pep.
12. :o Thats just the kind of picture I want on wall!
13.

How are we supposed to belive that is Sassy?? I'm sorry don't wanna step on toes or p*** anyone off.. but.. really.....
???? I am missing something? Who is Sassy and why would she lie? Or am I missing a joke somewhere.
Its not a joke... Sharpeigirl has lied about most everything she's said on here. I agree with DAL... :-?
14. Cairn6, do you have any pictures of Toto at the table? It must look very cute! Web doesn't whine, or bark, or anything- he knows that doesn't get him tidbits, he may only use his eyes to beg. I'm glad it isn't bad to let him rest his head on the table, partly because I like it and partly because I hate being judged by people. And its nice if they aren't right... Not that I'd take their "advice" anyway. :x As for drooling, he only does that when he's waiting for his food. When I was gone evidently my brother taught him to do that. He wouldn't let poor ol' Webster go to his foodbowl before he drooled! So now the puppy sits there with puddles forming at his feet...
15. Yeah I know lots of people don't like begging, but personally I think its rather cute and enjoy having him there. Its easy to slip him my vegetables, which he glady eats! And everyone in my family thinks its nice to have him there too. :) So thats not an issue. And if people come for dinner (well, depending on who it is ) he lies down and is fine with that. But last night I went to someones house and got chewed out about how its "not fair to Web" and "being inconsistent" and "see!?" when he grabbed something out of the trashcan (this was before dinner had started and he was walking around the house, once we started eating I asked him to lie down which he did). I thought that seemed a bit strange that his head on the table would have anything to do with the trashcan...
16. I let Web rest his head on the table when we eat, as long as his tounge (sp?) doesn't come creeping out. Or unless he tries to take food (which he doesn't anymore). If need be I can tell him to lie down and he'll lie until I tell him he is free to go. But is letting him put his head on the table somehow being inconsistent and sending double messages that its ok to pick trash out of the trashcan...? :-?
17. Well, "dogs rubbish" I like the handled kind.
18. I got a reply from the store, and it too was a bit vague (sp?). :-? "Dear Nea, How old is your dog? If it is a young dog buy the larger 17"-20" collar so it can grow into it. If it is a fully grown dog by the 15"-18" collar so it will fit right. If you want to use the collar for training it must fit tightly. We measure our collars from the center of the buckle to the first & last holes. That way the collar size it the dog's neck size. If you buy the larger collar for a puppy and want it to fit tighter you can melt an extra hole in it with a nail heated on the stove untill red hot. Sincerely, Munsell Schafer" But I think I will go with the bigger one. I tried melting a hole in another collar I bought this summer that was WAY to big and it worked fine, so even if I need to make it smaller I can. If I were to buy the smaller collar I couldn't make it bigger. :)
19. What kind do you prefer:
20. :x How am I supposed to be able to decide when you all say different things? I asked for HELP, you know, not to be more confused then before I asked!!!  I've written the store an email, maybe they'll be able tell me what would fit best, since they know the collars best. :-? :)
21. I found a collar I like that I want to buy Web. Its a Buckle On Nylon Martingale Collar. I don't have any experience with Martingale collars and I don't know how they're supposed to fit. I've seen similar ones, called "halv-stryp" (half-choke??) that are really loose and slip on and off the dog's head. Which I don't like, I prefer buckle type collars that stay pretty much in one place, and one of the reasons I want to buy this perticular collar is that I could buckle it like a normal one. But when they say the sizes maybe they mean it differnet from normal ones? I messured (sp?) Web's neck and its about 17 inches. The collar comes in both "fits necks 15''-18''" and "fits necks 17''-20''". Which is my best bet? :-?
