1. Congratulations on that little cutie! :)
2. Hearing about stubborn dogs is certainly very entertaining! But it must be awfully frustrating to have to deal with. For a while Webby was pretending to be dumb (and deaf), and it was soo frustrating, because I knew that he knew what do do (and could hear me too...). Luckily that was just his age. Hope you figure out a way to get Peaches to act more civilized. :D
3. Thats great! :D Looking forward to seeing the pictures...
4. Poor little thing. I'm sorry. :(
5. Those are all good ideas, but Webby knows those tricks allready. Except for jumping through my arms. Last time I tried to teach him that I ended up with a bad headache and a bunch of bruises because he tried to jump over my top arm (didn't work) and then sort of landed on me. I'm a bit worried to try that agian! :o Crawl is working out sort of, but I doubt it will be done by next Monday. But his "bow" isn't that great, he often confuses it with "down". Do you think it would be cheating to perfect that a bit and then use it...?
6. Thats so sad. I really hope that puppy ends up allright, somehow... :(
7. You mentioned a food bowl- but what about a water bowl? A collar? Or are you just going to use a harness for him? It must be so exciting getting things for your new dog! :D
8. So today Web's agility class started. I've been slightly terrified all day. For no reason it turns out. Its a small class- 3 other dogs, and 2 instructors. Today only two of the other dogs were there. One was a yellow lab named Rufus, who was 2 months older than Web and about as wild. Then there was a Swedish Vallhund, who was a year old and seemed quite talented. We started off inside the building and had some introductions and all of that stuff. Web lay under my chair with his head to the floor and whined the entire time. :-? He was wearing his dreaded harness, and there were other dogs tanalizingly close, and it was almost too much for a poor little boy to bear (sp?). After that we took a short walk and he went back to his jaunty self. Then we started! :D We did regular jumps, long jumps, the table, plain tunnels, and the dog-walk. Webby did great at everything! Of course mainly it was because I had hot dog pieces in my hand that he focused on me and doing the things instead of trying to go play, but that will eventually be able to be lessened (I hope...). I got lots of really helpful tips and suggestions, and Web had a blast. :D AND he was the best one! :D I have a feeling that the small dog will surpass him eventually, but who cares? Webby did fantasticly, WAY above my expectations. We got a homework too. To teach the dog a trick. And no cheating and showing "old" tricks nex time! :( I think I'm going to try to teach either crawl or back... But I'm not sure. I want a relatively simple trick thats moderatly challenging, and looks good. Any other suggestions? :)
9.
I registered as CrazyK9 and I just posted there... gosh these people are p*** me off! They keep saying the pit people are being rude jerks but look at what theyre saying... its like they can get away with whatever they want but we get blamed through it all!  Im going to try to post as many facts as I can and as little opinion as possible but Im sure I will end up getting a little steamed with these people especially when theyre calling my love bugs "monsters"
Great! :D

12. Great pictures! Congratulations to Ven! :D
13. I didn't vote because I'm not exaclty sure what Web would count as. His father's great-granmother on his fathers side, and the same as his great-great-grandmother on his mother's side. Or something like that, I can't remember exactly now... Why/how you picked the dog you got. Because he had the right personality for me. He and his sister were the only ones left at the breeders (they were 4 months old) and his breeder was keeping his sister, so I didn't get to choose between lots of puppies. But if Webby hadn't had the right personality I would not have bought him. Anyway, even if all of the puppies (8 of them) had been left I would have chosen Web. I got to meet all of his siblings at a puppy-meet later on and while they all were great dogs, none had all of the traits I was looking for. How important was pedigree? Bloodline? Breeding? Lots of fancy titles, famous names, etc. wasn't important at all. His parents were important however. I met his mom the first time I visited the breeder, and she was (is) a beautiful, friendly, smart, happy dog. Web's breeder had her do some retrieving- it was amazing. She had also proven herself to be a good representative of the breed, having one two "cert" in conformation (3 are needed to become a con. champion) and having gotten a 2 in a hunting/retrieving/whatever-its-called trials. She also had passed the entry test for becoming a search and reascue dog. Web's father was (is) a champion, and also has done well in retrieving trials (or whatever they are). Both parents have excellent hips, etc. The breeder herself was also important. She was nice, but not "overly" nice, if you know what I mean. She was straight-forward and didn't gloss things over. She didn't have many dogs- just Web's mother and his sister, along with Webby then. They were all obviously well care for and happy. They also seemed like they were a real part of the family. What drew you to the dog? He was the right one. I just knew when I saw him.
14. Good luck! :D Please let us know as soon as possible how it went. And pictures! :D
15.
My ID was ohyeahme, but I never got to post! :( I had really good things to say too. Just plain and simple facts! I registered and it kept saying I didn't have permission to post. I even logged in and it said I was logged in after I activated my account. So fustrating.
Did you try to post in the original thread or start another? You can't post new threads until you get a certain amount of posts, for some reason. Unless its that I have no idea why you aren't able to post. I hope you're able to soon though, some of those people need a real pit bull person to talk to them! :evilbat:
16. Pepperige Lewis, July 2002 - September 10th, 2004 I remember the day, more than 2 years ago, when I went to buy my lovely mouse, Pep. The cage was full of mice. But Pep stood out from the rest. She was calm, but still full of curiosity. It took only a few seconds to decide that she was the one. The next few weeks she lived in a small, plastic cage. I would spend hours sitting with my hand in it, and before long she was tame and enjoyed the attention. Before long though, I realized that she would need the company of another mouse. So in January I got her a friend, Boot. Pep was thrilled. They got to be good friends, but Pep was still very attached to us humans and would love being handled. We had a big scare when one day she was gone from the cage. But she was so tame that she came to me when I put my hand out when she was found a few days later. The last few months Pep started getting grey. But she was still her curious, sweet self. Then, in the beginning of September, she started acting more stiff. She wouldn't come out as fast to greet me when I came to say hi to her, and moved with stiffer movements. I understood then that it wouldn't be long before she died. It was still a shock though, when one morning she didnt come out. I lifted the house up and there her body lay. She must have died curled up in a pile with her friends. The evening before she was herself- just a few hours later she was gone. Pep was a special mouse. She was the sweetest, most beautiful little creature. We all miss her. She will never be forgotten.
17. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :bday: She is very cute :)
18. Web most people, but there are definatly different degrees of like! Theres a man in the appartment building who's been dubbed "the sour old man" for as long as I can remember. Always a nasty, argumentative, selfish, bitter, old man. But he ADORES Web! :o  Once when Web was a puppy and saying hi to him, he started rooting around in the man's grocery bag before I could stop him and then proudly gave a cheese to the man, who was charmed.  I didn't realize at the time that it was the sour old man, but later found that out. Today I was walking Web and he was behaving perfectly. Then suddenly he got all excited. The sour old man was walking by.... He said hi to Web and Webby was oh so pleased. :) Occasionally on walks Web will see someone that he loves. Just complete strangers, but he is determined to say hi to them. He doesn't leap up or anything (he did as a puppy but thankfully has quit! :o) but strains his neck and looks as cute as possible. Web always acts perfectly (or nearly so) with his breeder. She doesn't let him get away with things, and he has learned that. Web likes non-dog people too, but it seems more like he wants to tease them and get treats than he wants to be with them because of themselves, sort of. And the few people he doesn't like, they'd better stay FAR away, cause I wouldn't trust them a bit. :-? So the point of this longwinded reply is that yes, I think that dogs can tell the difference...
