doggie with a cough

My little long hair chihuahua has come down with a cough, sounds like he is trying to hack something up, or maybe something is stuck in his thoat. It is not all the time, but more often when he is active. I notice these symptoms yesterday....does anyone know whats wrong??

Hard to tell. My dogs occasionally cough a bit, but then it goes away right away. If it keeps up, it's safest to ask your vet. :D

[b][color=darkred]Chilli dog, it may be kennel cough....as your dog came into contact with any others dogs ? if he has then its likely to be that.
Best to seek advice from the vet first to see if it is.

However benelin cough mixture is good for the cough and also a little ice cream to sooth the throat.
