Thankz guys! Well we go in soon I hope since theres no set time to come in as long as it's b4 4 o'clock. :D We're gonna see if we can bring Cinco in on "special" adoption days like adopt a dog special day where all dogs (including puppies) are half the original adoption price. Just to say we adopted a great dog from here. I think I saw a dog there with a sweater that said I was adopted here.

my parents been feeding the Ol' Roy stuff ever since I can remember and so far the only dog thats died is Max and that wasn't food releated. He was 15,almost blind,almost deaf,arthritis in his lower back and on down to his hind legs and cuz of the arthritis he couldn't sit rather he squated and the same for when he needed to poo. We juss couldn't stand to see him suffer nemore so we had the HS out him to sleep.

Give him a hug from me and my 2 please. When it's time for him to go to the bridge my max and blacky will be right there waiting at the gate for him I'm sure of it.

Well some of u probably know that I'm gonna be volunteering at EBHS and I get orientated with my mom tomorrow! Yay!

I can't veiw the site but ne1 that has know if the seller's last name is Schulz? Or Schultz? If it's him he don't give a shit about the animals cuz he hadcages on heaters which exploded and burned the dogs up. He also has like 5 listings in the classified sections everyday! :x

Sorry, she is NOT from a responsible breeder. No responsible breeder will breed mutts. She's just another backyard bred dog like the ori pei.[/quote] If she's a byb then how come she never planned on breeding and planned for her dog to get spayed while she was away and the dog stayed at the vets office? O and they didn't relize she was prgenant until shortly b4 the procedure. As from what the vet told us just a few yrs ago Dahlilas mother got fixed and Dahlilas litter was 1st and last. Infact Blacky(my old dog) breeder was irresponible vuz all he said was that the pups were lab/terrier and theres different terriers like pits and staffy's. Atleast the lady Dahlila came from knew all the facts like what breed she was and she also met the dad and got info on his genetics. :roll:[/quote] An accidental litter isn't a responsible breeder. Thats just my opinion cuz I've seen and heard of some pretty bad mills and breeders. theres a mill around here that had cages sitting on top of heaters and the barn with the pups in it caught on fire cuz one of the heaters exploded. I wouldn't get my own dog from a breeder. Yes Dahlila is mine but she's the family dog and I was about 8 when we got her so I couldn't tell mom and dad where to go to get a dog at that time. Sorry if this sounds harsh I'm po'd about something that happened at home today.

Well idk what to tell ya BM but how is the poor guy? When u say small to medium guessing about 60 pounds or below? Labs can run small if it's mixed. Cincos got about 3 breeds in him (springer/hound/possible lab) he's around 45 and Dahlila is a Shihtzu/jackrussel running between 10-15 pounds. I'll check around petfinder if u like just to get some breeds.

Well we get orientated Sunday but 1 question, On the applacation theres a form that says when I take pics of the animals I have to give ebhs the rights to use them for publicity photos (i.e. petfinder listings) does this mean only if I use 1 of their cameras or even my own camera I still have to give them the pics? BTW she also told us y Cinco had been returned there and I was thinking to myself if they wanted that kind of dog they should have went gotten an older dog and stayed away from springers! I read on his background report that he doug holes to get out of the yard when no1 was home common sence u A) relize a dog doesn't learn to not dig holes under the fence by its self B)when he's kenneled all day relize he's gonna need to go on a nice walk or a nice run in the yard while u watch him C)U don't leave a dog running loose in ur yard all day espicaly when u know he'll just dig his way out! Sorry I needed to get that off my chest. I'm sure other adoptees have heard the adoption counselors say that this is y the were brought here or came back to us. Excuses

Me seeing 1st hand what having a distemper + dog and what we had to go through just to find out what he had and seeing what he did to ever1 that just walked by he'd nip at me when I just walked by(I was terrified of my own dog cuz he destroyed all my water babies and ran under my feet causing me to fall down the stairs and he also bit 1 of my friends) We had our then vet call the HS he came from and he'd never been checked for nething of the liking! My parents didn't feel safe having the dog nemore espicaly in a neighborhood full of kids who at the time were 5 and under. 1 simple Vac. could have let him stay with us

And u know what else? I have to talk to my high school counselor cuz when I volunteer I could get a collage credit for volunteering a certain amount of hours and I'm sure 8 hrs will add up quick since I'm starting out slow and working it up cuz i have school to worry about also and Drivers ed this summer. Edited to say that the extra collage credits could really help me for the field I want to go into which is vetinary assistant.

Well it's official my mom and I are gonna be volunteers at Elmbrook Humane society! I'm so excited about doing this. But I'm also a little nervous to but then again who isn't nervous on there 1st volunteer job and mom will be there A)cuz we agreed to do this together and B)I'm a minor so I have to have a parent with me. Seeing as this is the place Cinco came from I wanna help these animals get a ;ife like Cinco has now and not the 1 he had at the 2 other places he was at and Elmbrook did alot of work on him to train him and everything. if it weren't for them cinco probably be dead by now and we'd have an unhealthy dog from a shelter close us that has filthy kennels and verry few friendly volunteers. Theres this 1 dog at EBHS that I'll get close to cuz she's been there for months now and from what I saw cuz i played with her a little bit when i was there lasttime she was the sweetest thing. heres her pic. Idk different dogs adjust differently. we got cinco when dahlila was 6 yrs old and she adjusted fine within the 1st to weeks.

My dogs have more leashes then my family does computers(2 desktops and 4 laptops and no we're not rich we just real good deals on them)

Dog#1 Dahlila brought home as a puppy Dog#2 Cinco brought home 2 months ago 6 yrs younger than Dahlila Friends well the ones that have seen both love them and family thinks were nuts having 2 dogs(half my moms family has alergies) but I just say it's not ur dog so it's not ur decision on if we can have more than 1 dog

Both dogs side to side. Cinco wriggles his but and tail when he's very excited and does side to side infact he'd be an excellent duster :lol:

I'd talk to ur vet cuz Dahlila scratchedat hers and hers got pink so we took her to the vet and found out she was alergic to the stitches

Well for now I'd say 2 is enough for me but when I get older I want to start off as a foster and eventually evolve into a all breed rescue that is family and space permitting for the rescue
